The spectrum does enhance plants/fish. The light brackets look cheapie & it I'd say I thought it would a bit brighter than it was but it is adequate for my plants. Its made a difference in plant growth. The plants weren't responding much with adding CO2 so thought I'd try this light and also to enhance my fish and plant..which it did. Some people might like APP programming which this model doesn't have but I am not over reliant on APP programming for my needs & I enjoyed the RGB(W) configuration on this light much more than the Finnex I had on the aquarium previous. You have to pay for the privilege of choice when it comes to aquarium lights. But this light seems fairly moderately priced. It's all relative in this respect. Hope this light is long lasting. I've had cheaper lights that are still chugging along but I just wanted to upgrade so I had more choices when it came to appearance and because of using CO2 on my tank.

I finally said just do it and purchased the model 1200EA IV for my 75 gallon!! Simply put - absolutely amazing!!! The unit is light weight and the LED’s give off amazing coverage! You can also purchase the adapter to use the light via the Twinstar app!

The pictures say it all... The pictures with the twinstar are the bright green ones...The others are blue and dull are with the standard light. The colors pops, the plants are doing better. Love the dimmer and timmer that's included. Which is an additional cost with other lights. There are other more expensive lights with more options. You have to decide what your needs are. The only thing, I would have added would be a shade. This will be the last picture showing you why I would recommend adding a shade. The pictures didn't upload in order, this is why I had to revise my review. One more thing. The pictures were taken within minutes of one another. They are accurate as far as time goes..

With the right set up your plants will thrive. It’s worth investing in good lighting if you plan to do a high tech set up. The metal part holding the lights up are a bit flimsy though so be careful.

Excelente Equipo

Just got it yesterday and I couldn't be more pleased. It is bright even on the dimmers setting and makes my tank look great. Will be getting one for my other tank.

Great light love the twinstar line of lights very bright... just wish they had wireless remote like the stingrays.... but other than that they make my amateur aquascape look great.
