The primary use of these magnets is to replace the old Alcomax magnet in the electric motor of Triang, Hornby Dublo and Wren model locomotives and Scalextric cars (motor types X03, X03.5 & X04). They are also ideal for holding, hanging and closing in a variety of areas around the house, as well as hobbies/crafts, engineering and modelling projects. Neodymium is a rare earth element, that when combined with iron and boron creates a very powerful magnet (NdFeB). These Neodymium Magnets are Grade N42, working up to 80°C and have three layers of surface coating (Ni-Cu-Ni) providing an attractive, high-quality, anti-corrosion finish.
