Men's Respected Boswell Boot

I'm giving this a five star review; if there were ten stars, it'd have been about a 9.6. I've worn these 65-75 hours a week for two months straight in a job that typically requires a pretty durable work boot. I was skeptical even wearing them to work at all, but given the warmer than usual weather they seemed like a good alternative. I expected them to fail at durability but they have survived a pretty rugged test. The only shortcoming, is that the laces have been worn and replaced because the top eyelit is angled such that to pull the string tightly to tie, it causes a bit of fray each time. I replaced with a heavier boot lace; the eyelit angle also makes it not the best for snugging them up in general. Small issue. Shortcoming number 2 of 2, is that while the "Goodyear" sole has been incredibly capable and resistant to wear, the foamy stuff is out of proportion with the durability of the rest of the shoe. The foamy part is pretty well beaten and chewed up from crop stubble that I'm on and off all day. The foamy part on the bottom is beat to h*ll and I don't know why they went thru all the goodyear work just to pad the center with a cheap and flimsy center. They have been excellent at water resistance. Out of the box, it is an impressively handsome shoe. I am going to purchase another pair, given the black Friday sale price.

These are great. I found gold! Fit as a 12WW-Relaxed Fit should. I add a 7mm lift for my left foot and I add PowerStep Bridge Flexible Insoles for a bit more cushioning and added arch support for both shoes. I like the higher ankle support as well. I love the Sketcher slip-in shoes but I have to be really careful if not walking on level surfaces so that my ankle doesn’t roll so I need to buy a snugger fitting size which isn’t always the most comfortable for other areas of my feet, like the toe box. The newer slip-in versions are better at holding on to your foot than previous generations. A very good price as well. Thanks!

These look great, feel great, no break in. Bought for my husband last winter & he loved them until he could no longer bend over to tie. Then I got him the slip ins. You don't have to break these in they are comfortable first time you wear. They are light weight, nice leather, warm for the cold weather and very comfortable he said after he got them tied. Plenty of toe room. Sketchers has shoes for everyone no matter what the need. These look great with jeans!

I bought these shoes based on their appearance as a casual boot but to my surprise upon receipt it was my opinion that they look like a work boot and not like the picture shown in the listing. I will say that they appear to be well made , they are comfortable but run big in the width . The pair that I got are what I ordered , size 13 M however like I said they are quite wide but the length gave plenty of extra room . I would say about 3/8 of an inch longer than my foot and the toe box has plenty of room. Personally I wouldn't use them for running or dancing and although I did'nt weigh them they felt heavier than the 2 pounds advertised. If they were narrower , I will say they would make a great work boot or even at this width would probably be great with thicker winter type socks as the boots really are very comfortable and seem well made and the tread is great and doubtfully slippery.

Really happy with these shoes. Since I've gotten older, I really have trouble finding shoes that fit well or are comfortable, but these were great right out of the box. They look good; they're lightweight, and the sole provides very good grip. I read many comments before buying, and quite a few people advised going down a half-size so I took a chance and ordered a 9 1/2 instead of 10 and it worked out very good. The toe-box is roomy but it's not overly huge either like some comments would make you think. And actually, there is a pretty decent insole with arch support in the shoes. One of the things I like best is the real rubber sole which is flat so it provides a much more comfortable and stable walking experience than the cleated hiking shoe soles, or the man-made plastic soles. And even though it's flat, it has groves cut in the sole so it grips very well. I live in Minnesota, and we've been out for walks a few times in cold snowy weather, since I got them, and the shoes gripped the ground very well. In addition, the water repellant leather kept my feet dry and comfortable. I'm not always a big fan of Skechers, but they hit a home run with the Respected Boswell Mid-Top leather sneakers. Very comfortable and roomy immediately upon using. I used them in my weed dense raspberry bush area. They were very sturdy and I felt solid in terrible terrain - ruts, tree stumps etc. The problem was the burrs - they got collected and stuck to the fabric on the tongue. I won't use them in areas they stick to fabric but will for cutting grass, pruning, etc. They're great. I just started using them so i have no idea how they will hold up.

My husband got a pair last fall and he is a truck driver, so always on his feet, and he was so impressed with how well they held up and the comfort they provided. He is flat footed but never complained about pain. He asked me if they still make them and sure enough I found a pair on Amazon, had his size and color. I highly recommend these boots for any outdoor activities

This comfortabe good looking Casual Wear boot should have a 5 star rating. However the poor quality of the cheap flimsy metal used in the manufacturing of the Eyelets render what would be my favorite "casual wear" boots unusable. After only my second time to wear them, the Top Right Eyelet of the Right Boot came apart (see photo) rendering these brand new Skechers "Respected Boswell" casual wear boots UNUSABLE. Please Note: These "Casual Wear" Skechers boots are NOT "WORK" BOOTS!!! They are NOT "HIKING" BOOTS!!! Skechers "Respected Boswell" casual boots are designed and manufactured for "CASUAL WEAR ONLY!!!" THEY ARE NOT WATER PROOF!!! They are NOT WATER RESISTANT!!! They are ABSOLUTELY NOT made for wet weather (Snow and Rain)! They are NOT made for Dirty and Dusty use. They are not made for "Sports"! They are NOT made for the the "Playground" mom! They are only for CASUAL WEAR on paved surfaces. The "Rugged" design is for APPEARANCES ONLY.

Bought THESE for my Dad who can NEVER find comfortable shoes wide enough - these were just the ticket!! Such a good purchase! They’re comfortable, lightweight and were the perfect width! Super happy with them.

They look good! Ordered in October. Tried on. Great. I am generally not a boot person but with the snow we’re having this season, thought I’d better put them on. Half hour in, my right foot was hurting. There’s a piece of material, or something that shouldn’t be there rubbing and causing irritation. Return window has closed. Now what do I do .
