Easy to install and fit perfectly with 5 inch exhaust hose for portable AC in my garage.

I am setting up a home office, and bought this port to do away with the typical cumbersome through-window set up with portable AC units. I can now keep the window closed for security, and better retention of cooled air. I put the bulk of the piece inside the wall so it would sit flush. It could easily be oriented the other way if you wanted. I used a short section of 5" vent pipe to route this port to the vent on the outside of the house. I used foil tape for all attachments since this port is not easily mechanically attached to vent pipe, nor was the exterior vent. I would have liked to have matched the height to the vent on the AC unit, but exterior considerations dictated the vertical placement of the hole. Can't win them all. :)

i previously bought a different item to help me with this but it didn't have the grooves for screwing the hose in and just didn't work. this item, however, did the trick! it fit perfectly! the hose is 5" and the last product didn't even fit in any way whatsoever. i had to use duct tape to hold it in but wouldn't and the hose kept falling out blowing hot air into my room and completely defeating the purpose of having air conditioning. i'm so grateful for this as we just went through a heatwave and it stayed in place and i got some relief from the heat while i slept. thank you!

The hose for the sharp air conditioner I acquired was a tiny bit over 5" and because of that the wide threads made it impossible to screw in, just too tight even with greasing, so I put a small crimp in 2 rounds of wire and was able to screw it in far enough. Replacing the hose was an option but crimping saved me money. I bought all 3 components offered and installed them yesterday using a modified steal pipe left over from a gas fireplace install. I am happy with the results. A suggestion would be to make the threads thinner to accommodate variations in the flexible hose brands.

Well made, fit my Honeywell 10,000 BTU portable A/C perfectly. I am using the A/C in a cargo trailer conversion, this let me vent the exhaust through the floor. Confirming that is is right hand (clockwise) thread.

So warped I could not use, forget about hole measurements, that is not the worst part.

The next day after using screws to secure the flange, I found a crack had developed between the screw ring and the AC hose attachment. I suspect the issue was caused by stresses from the screws as no AC was attached. This product would be better with a reinforced base and larger screw holes.

I was a bit nervous ordering it after reading some reviews mentioning it wasn’t fitting the hose but it fits perfectly. It was impossible to find this part so I am glad it worked!

Does not fit a 5" air conditioner (Haier) exhaust hose as advertised, too small . Waste of money!

I returned it,,, It wouldn't have even fit to my A/C exhaust hose
