how do you tell the date when it was made

Hi NigelYou will have to look at the system you are replacing and compare it with the different types available. The differences should be obvious but as I remember it is mainly the fashion in which the cable attaches to the door (bottom fitting) There are some very good videos on Utube that explain exactly how to install the new unit, I believe the is even on available from Henderson. Are these easy to fit my cable has just snapped and was going to buy this and do it myself

I replaced my snapped cable myself, but did have a look at some you tubes first and did it ok............If the pin wont drift out turn it around 180 degrees and drift out in the opposite direction it worked for me..

Hi is this kit suitable fora henderson merlin mk ii overhead garage door. i do not know how old the doors are. the cables appear to end in loops.

Neither ends of this kit are a loop. They are effectively a stop that joins both ends but the roller at the top winds around the moudles. The tension required to restore the feel of a normal garage door is surprising, bear with it.
