k/d Kidney Care Dry Dog Food, Chicken, 8.5 lb. Bag

My doggo is “mature” as the vet says, and her blood work showed kidney issues. I had been feeding her Fresh Pet that comes refrigerated and looks like a big sausage you cut into pieces. He recommended a kidney-specialized food and offered to sell it to me and it was crazy expensive. I asked for alternatives that are cheaper and he mentioned this stuff. It took one day for Amazon to contact the vet for the prescription, and I’ve purchased it several times now and they don’t ask for a new Rx each time. The doggo eats it just like everything else. She snaps at it as fast as she can and it’s all gone by the time I begin walking away from the kitchen.

My dog’s kidney levels came back into normal levels after 1 month of use. He loves the flavor too.

Pricey but my vet recommended I try it. My Great Pyrenees actually loves it and will eat it without any coaxing.

We need this for our one elderly pup who is having some minor kidney issues. The food is working well for him and his numbers are looking up. Looks like we will continue with the subscription. Only gave 4 stars because the food got delivered to the wrong house. Fortunately, it was only two doors up the street and the neighbor delivered later that evening.

My dog loves it. It smells better than purina pro plan and has less “kibble dust” comparatively. I assume it tastes as good as its smell. It’s almost twice the price for its size compared to its competitor but its smells better.

Box was torn open on arrival (torn side facing wall). 3 items inside were okay, no obvious signs of an issue with items except when I pulled the box away from wall, contents all fell out.

I was told by my dog's dermatologist that buying dog food from Amazon isn't a good idea bc it sits in warehouses & isn't fresh. I decided to give it try anyway. Some of my friends had tried Amazon for their dog food & had a great experience. I did as well. Arrived packaged well & looked & smelled fresh with a long expiration date as well.This has helped bring down those high lab values. Portion size is great for my 10lb schweenie. We love the quality of this food.
