Perfect for travel and scorching sun
I bought two of these umbrellas for a trip to Italy as I very well knew that traveling during the summertime with the Scorching heat It would be unbearable specially with long lines at the tourist attractions. This umbrella was a lifesaver because for one thing it was so light and compact that it easily fit into my sling bag. The second day in Rome was hot and in mid 90s and bringing up the umbrella in the middle of the day with high temperatures would bring down the temperature to less than 5°(when standing under the umbrella). That made so much of difference and helped carry on the day without feelings hot. We used it several times during our trip and also used it one time when it rained in Florence. But of course you need to be careful if it’s windy and you don’t want to use it otherwise the umbrella would flip. I mostly bought it for her protecting myself and the family from the sun and of course, the unexpected rain and It worked. I definitely recommend.

Artificial Comfort!
My wife and I live in northern Utah where it's mostly dry and the elevations go over 12,000'. This causes a unique interaction with the sun. This might sound a little flaky but its heat is more like a laser beam than an oven. But what if there were a way to block the laser beam? What if, even on the hottest days, you could pull some small device out of your backpack, deploy it like a shield and relax in the force field that you've created. This is not a sci-fi fantasy. It's an umbrella. Yeah, you could probably get similar results with any piece of overhead shade but this things is built to block UV rays, it's super light weight, super small and looks high tech. The following attributes are not flaws but necessary concessions of the design. It can flip inside out in even light winds. The fabric storage condom (?) is just barely big enough if you carefully roll the umbrella. The size of the canopy is just enough for one person or two if you've hugging. The height of the canopy is just enough. If these are deal breakers, buy the bigger heavier model. I've used them and they are super nice despite the weight and size penalty. Quick story before I close. We hiked Frary Peak last Saturday with some friends. The weather was nice but by the time we reached the summit, everyone was hot and ready for some water. Like most mountains out here, there's not one scrap of shade anywhere. My wife and I snuggled under our little canopy and enjoyed our snacks in complete comfort. I'm sure it made our friends sick to see us but they know where to order one.

It weighs very little and fits in your pocket or purse!
This umbrella has two great virtues: it is small and it is lightweight. My other umbrellas are more sturdy, and they probably resist going inside out in the wind a little more, but this one takes the prize for not being annoying to take with me as a talisman to ward off the rain. I bought the medium blue, and I like that it is unobtrusive but not black. The fabric is lightweight but not flimsy. You have to open and close it in the old-fashioned way, which in my book is a plus. A similarly lightweight umbrella I had had for years bit the dust not long ago, and I am very pleased that I could get a worthy replacement.

Sort of flimsy, but very lightweight
It's quite lightweight, impressively so. Not very rugged, and it kinda opens weird - like, you have to kinda encourage the frame to pop into the correct position as it doesn't really want to and wants to kinda hyperextend or not pop out the right way. I can see that possibly going poorly, wind would be a nightmare, but I also don't have high hopes and I'll use it as long as it'll last I guess. If I saw it in a store and could open it up before buying I probably wouldn't have bought it, but I realistically will never return it before the return by date so I might as well get some use out of it. Pretty much feels like a disposable "just in case" umbrella that likely won't tolerate the first use. But if it does, that's great. I'll explain more about what I hoped to use it for vs how I think it'll hold up now that I've seen the actual product, then will try and remember to come back and update once I use it. I bought it to attach to my pack for rainy hikes. I was hoping to attach it to the front pack strap just to keep rain from draining down into my coat/gear/etc. Not necessary, but a nice luxury on really crappy days when thru hiking, and it is incredibly light weight so I figured it would be worth it to just have a little relief from the rain to help dry myself out a bit on a miserable day hiking. I also wanted to bring it on an upcoming weekend trip just city walking as a "just in case" sort of thing to keep in my bag without weighing it down. I imagine it'll be a fine disposable umbrella for the upcoming trip where I'll just be roaming around a new city, but if it's windy even the slightest bit this umbrella will not survive. I assume I'll be throwing it away mid trip. I also can't imagine it'll be packable in my hiking pack mostly because it likely wouldn't tolerate being smushed at all as it's pretty flimsy. I will likely only use it on potentially rainy day hikes, but will not bring it on my thru hike as I was hoping. It is incredibly lightweight. It comes with a sleeve thing to put it in but I never really keep those so that's already in the trash, but if that's important to you then that's something it does come with. The very end of the umbrella does have a little lip to the little stub thing on the handle so the frame things tuck into the lip of the stub so they don't get all bent or caught on stuff - like once you collapse the umbrella and shorten the handle part, the little frame pieces tuck into the knob thing at the bottom. The knob is very small which does help with weight, but it doesn't make it any less difficult to hold onto I don't think. Also has a string so you can hang it, and a velcro tab thing like most umbrellas do so you can tighten and contain the arms of the umbrella when packing it down. Typical umbrella features I guess, but just lightweight and compact. Overall the umbrella is a decent just-in-case umbrella (if it ends up working out and not breaking), but durability is not something I see in this umbrella's future. I will update if I end up pleasantly surprised. So far it struggled even opening up consistently so we'll see. I predict it'll fold up backwards (like, hyperextended frame) and break the first time I use it, but we'll see.. stay tuned for updates

Great Idea, but didn’t work
I purchased two for a hike for me and my son. I loved how light and compact this was ~ for great in our pack. I used one time for a few minutes on the trail bc it was exposed and temps were heating up. The wind blew and flipped the umbrella inside out. I messed with it for a few more minutes and i never could get it worked out. Super disappointed. The temps were 100 degrees plus and I ended up getting overheated. I was able to return one unused but our trip was a few days outside the return window…if the company would still be willing to send a refund I’d appreciate it.

Lightweight & Durable Enough, just sun protection might be questionable.
Love how lightweight this is, cannot rave enough about it. And it's great in the sudden rain showers (but do beware it flips super easily in the wind, so just keep the umbrella towards the wind or whatever.) And not just light drizzles, used it through a pouring rain too (hasn't broken yet). Sun protection is where I'm deducting a star. I'm usually not even that scared of the sun and i do see I'm shaded and feel cooler under it, so I don't even know why I would be slightly burned (skin reddish and itchy, not peeling or anything) the few times I used this out under the sun without sunscreen. Maybe I'm getting the UV reflected from other sources and not directly from the sun? Is that even possible? Anyway, overall, for the sale price, if this umbrella does break one day, I would say I already got my money's worth and would buy again.

Perfect for travelling
Perfect for traveling. Simple and easy to use, and compact and ultra light weight. It’s not the most strongest, but strong enough considering the size and weight. Highly recommend it.

Super lightweight - just put it in your bag and forget it
I brought back from a trip to Japan an ultra-light weight umbrella weighing under 100 grams and wanted another one to give to my mom. This one was the lightest I could find here, still ultra light at 120 grams and slightly larger and sturdier (relatively speaking - not a match for heavier umbrellas). It's been great so far; you can really take if anywhere as it is so small and light, just put it in your bag or backpack and forget it's there. Sure it's a bit flimsier than other mini-umbrellas that usually weigh three times as much, but it's perfectly usable and you wouldn't carry those other umbrellas around with you all the time and hence not have an umbrella when you need one.

Excellent for sun protection
Absolutely fabulous for travelling, super small and light, yet full coverage from the sun. Highly recommend for sunny, hot countries. I didn’t experience any rain, so cannot comment on that.

Sun or rain no longer a pain !!!
Have to say this very light and slim umbrella-sunshade has literally changed how I look at umbrellas forever. They are usually to heavy or bulky to carry but not this one it’s super lightweight the exterior is coated in a uv protective material which does not let any harmful uv rays come through , it also keeps you noticeably cooler under the sunshade due to its reflective exterior. It has good wind resistance but it’s not heavy duty. It functions perfectly in both the sun and rain and has an impressive colour options too, but most of all it is super value for money
