This is a terrific product. For those who may be new to firearms, the cloth is not meant for heavy cleaning. It is meant to be used to wipe the gun down between uses and after a good cleaning. I wipe down my EDC at least every other day. It does a good job of removing fingerprints and such, and leaving a protective film. I have used it on stainless, polymer, wood and alloy with good results. By the way, the cloth is NOT supposed to be wet to the touch. You're not looking to give the gun a bath, just a wipe down. After using what may seem to be a dry cloth, you should be able to see the difference on your gun and feel the silicone on your hands. Keeping it sealed in the plastic bag from the factory (or, in a Ziploc bag), will keep it ready to go for quite some time. I have a can of pure silicone that I use once in a while just to recharge the cloth. I keep one in my cleaning kit and one in my range bag. I think that you'll be pleased with this product.
