Does it help people with sleep apnea breath better at night removing the need for a cpap machine ?

ZQuiet is designed and cleared by the FDA to open the airway and treat snoring (which is not a medical condition). Sleep apnea is a medical condition with varying degrees of severity, so we recommend that you check with your doctor. Some doctors recommend ZQuiet for patients who can't tolerate CPAP and whose insurance won't cover a custom device.

Does it help people who snore while sleeping on their side?

Yes it does. I sleep only on my side and it is very effective.

Can you return the product if you had to trim it and it was still uncomfortable??

I presume you will need to contact the seller. If bought from Amazon, they do have a return policy that is usually located on the product page. I also presume that this item is not re-sellable once returned (as opposed to clothing), therefore there may be restrictions on returning it. I hope this helps! In short, contact seller.

Is this mouthpiece soft? I tried a different brand and it was hard, as my teeth have been hurting from it!

Yes, ZQuiet is the softest mouthpiece on the market. It is designed to be thinner and more pliable than "boil and bite" mouthpieces that have a hard outer shell and a layer of moldable material. It's much less of a mouthful!
