Is this the same as the sodapop malt powder?

As far as I an tell it is. Taste is the same.

What does this taste like??? Does it add something to the milk to make it taste more like a shake or vanilla or something???

I use it when making milkshakes at home. It turns an ordinary milkshake to a wonderful tasty malt shake. Reminds me of years ago when malts were made at soda fountains. Guess that tells on my age.

can this mix well in hot tea or coffee?

I use this to make ice cream so it mixes with cold liquid so I would think it would mix with hot liquids.
