It’s terrific!
Produces excellent carbonated water and is very easy to use. Pro tip: push the carbonation button down about 85-90% to get longer infusion.

I love the chic look, working well so far
I read a few other reviewers have encountered trouble with this Aarke Carbonator Pro model, but so far so good for me and I’m hoping the unit continues to function properly. As to appearance, I really love its modern and chic aesthetic, blends with our overall style; I received the unit in the sand colorway and it’s a tactile feeling sand shade, I like it.It’s very easy to operate, fairly lightweight, and doesn’t require any external power – love that! Of note, the unit did not come with a CO2 tank, but aside from Aarke CO2 tanks, it’s also compatible with the screw-in SodaStream CO2 tanks so I was able to easily pick one up at my local Target to get going with trying out the carbonator. An 800 ml/27 oz glass bottle was included, as it’s designed to fit specifically with the unit and is the only bottle that can be used with it (there’s a fill-line on the bottle which is equivalent to 700ml/23.67 oz). The bottle is also thick, solid glass and feels substantial. After having done some basic research about these carbonation units, since this is our first foray with using one, apparently cold water carbonates better than room temp water; so I used cold water, filling it to just slightly below the fill-line on the bottle. Also of note, ONLY water can be used with this unit, there are other manufacturers out there with special units for carbonating juices/other liquids besides water. I placed the bottle in the receptacle on the unit, lowered the top/head until it clicked into the base (this is what others have commented has stopped working for them after a few months, we’ll see how mine lasts), and pressed the silver tab on top of the unit holding it down continuously – that infused CO2 for seemingly 30 seconds or so until it made like a vibrating sound that very clearly meant it was done and to stop pressing the tab. After releasing the top/head and removing the bottle, the water was incredibly bubbly and fizzy – awesome! The headroom left in the bottle should hopefully allow for the pressure of the carbonation so that it doesn’t explode or anything in the refrigerator. And, after 48 hours, the water is still fizzy, not as much as immediately after carbonating it (which is to be expected), but I’m pleasantly surprised it’s lasting; definitely longer than an opened soda can would, for instance, even with a stopper in the can. The stainless steel cap on the bottle helps preserve the carbonation. The ‘sparkling’ water alone is delicious and so refreshing to me, but I’ve ordered a few of Aarke’s flavor drops to try out for a little variety as I do enjoy La Croix and Trader Joe’s flavored carbonated waters.Overall, this machine has been a great success thus far and I really love it…don’t know why I’d never taken the plunge to get a home carbonator before now. The price point is considerably higher than most other makers I’ve seen, but if it proves reliable and durable long term, I’d say it’s worth it with its elevated and contemporary look.

Super chic, but flawed design
I used to have the plastic model which worked great but overtime. Those bottles became dingy. These glass bottles look great always and are very easy to clean. the carbonator is attractive but within two months it has already broken.there is an internal mechanism that raises the carbonation chamber. this has broken and wont raise to the start position. awaiting response from aarke on a replacement/warranty service.

Never let anyone burst your bubble
As a sucker for great design, I am completely smitten with the Aarke Carbonator Pro. With its height, it won't fit under most cabinets, but it shouldn't be hidden. Definitely display worthy. Because it's completely powered by the CO2 cartridge there is no need to be tied down by cords, so this icon can be flaunted virtually anywhere. The encyclopedia like manual may seem intimidating but step up is easy, don't let the 20 languages scare you. Simply insert/twist cartridge in base, fill glass container to fill line and press...essentially. I can give honest feedback and say I did encounter problems with leakage a month into using which seem to be resolved with subsequent changing of extra seal provided. Due to its aesthetically pleasing nature and product produced, I remain loyal to the Aarke. Hopefully, this relationship won't be similar to the one I had with a particular British car company in the early 90's, that required frequent visits to the dealership.

Doesn't work. The system doesn't close the bottle. Useless
I don't know what I expected buying online but the little closing mechanism with the prongs for the water bottle don't close. And I wasted my time and money now

Parfait

Expensive, but looks amazing
Pros- We love this, looks amazing, easy to use and especially like the glass bottles. Saved load on plastic recycling.Cons- initial outlay is expensive. Soda stream is cheaper and the bottles hold slightly more volume but we use this daily for our tonic.Updated review- fault occurred at 7 months with the lid not engaging to facilitate carbonation. Will update you later how Aarke handle this.Update- 10/23, we used this daily for 7 months and then it broke, the lid wouldn’t engage and couldn’t carbonate. Aarke replaced this for free but took a month with postage time etc, not great. The new one has worked for about six weeks and now the same thing has happened. We are really disappointed as this was bought as our wedding gift to ourselves and have asked for a full refund from Amazon who have honoured this with no issue. We are going back to our very old possibly antique but still working shabby plastic soda stream. Save your money if you need reliability.
