Had this for 5 months. Good razor. It fits well in my hand, and the flex head is a nice step up from my previous razor (also a Braun that lasted ~10 years). I don't have a beard, so I can't really rate the beard trimmer attachments, but it seems to work OK on my eyebrows. Battery lasts 1-2 weeks on a charge, so when traveling I don't need to pack the charging cable.The care/cleaning station has a fairly large footprint on the counter. That's not really a negative, as I see no practical way to get around that from a design standpoint, but on the plus side it provides a convenient place to store that keeps the razor at hand.No regrets about this purchase. I'd buy it again.

This is my second series 7 Braun. The shaver gives me an excellent close shave for an electric razor. I used to use a rotary shaver that never got me nearly as close as this. I bought this because my blade cartridge in my old razor was ready for a replacement and this was only about $40 more at the time than buying a replacement cartridge. It also included the cleaning station which is a GAME CHANGER! It keeps the razor fresh and clean so that it shaves much closer every day. You just empty the shavings, pop in in the station and it cleans and charges so it's ready for you the next day. SUPER EASY!

I'm a long time wet shaver switching to an electric because I don't want to do a full shave every day and I'm sick of clippering my beard once a week before a full shave.I looked at the Japanese equivalent and it was the same price but didn't have the cleaning pod. The cleaning pod gives the razor a home, and I do believe is quite important for keeping the blades lubricated, which keeps them sharp - and keeping them sterile. This thing is putting a blade next to your skin, an infection is unlikely but not impossible.Anyway, I liked that this one came with the pod, and I had heard that the pod has a dry cycle which I also liked. Well it turns out the older series 7 does, this one is just a tank that cleans the razor and then lets it air dry. To be fair, the Japanese model I was looking at with the pod was $100 more but not even having a fan is a disappointment. It's not necessary but it felt like an extra and when I realized it doesn't actually do it I was not excited. I do like the pod but it is large and takes up a lot of counter space. I'm also not thrilled that there is a warning with the pods to only use them in a well ventilated space. People make their own solution and I may do that then go with whatever they're putting in here that requires a warning but idk.The Japanese equivalent has more blades, a better sounding motor, and looks and feels extra premium.The Braun 7 is light, but it feels well made, and I do like the design. The fact that it has less cutters is not a bad thing, the Japanese model is quite chunky and I don't think it would be great for tight areas like the upper lip. The Braun is better in this regard. However they're all pretty plasticky and it would be nice to have some heft to it.Another pro for the Braun is it is possible to replace the battery on your own. It's not as simple as opening the door and replacing it but they haven't glued the battery in or soldered it in. That means this thing could last for maybe another 7 years after the battery goes out.The Braun's motor is rattly and buzzy and sounds like it is a budget clipper, but it cuts just fine. It did miss some spots on my neck, but maybe that's the learning curve.So why did I settle for this shaver? Well for one, it is priced right, and you do get what you pay for. Many reviews say it's perfectly fine and for a device that you'll use for maybe 5 minutes a day, I don't see the need to spent $400 or $500 for the latest and greatest technology. I think these devices have peaked and probably a few generations ago as many people say all but the top end give mediocre shaves.I do think this gives a good shave for an electric, it's never going to be as good as a wet shave, and that's fine by me. I bought this to save time and to get a camera ready shave for zoom meetings.The pod replacements are more affordable than the Japanese model and the blade cassette is more affordable due to the simpler design. So the cost of maintenance on this shaver is arguably the biggest factor since it will exceed the initial cost of the razor.Unlike the other European brand famous for rotary shavers, this device is a good budget item, but it doesn't feel budget. It doesn't feel premium either, it feels like the right tool for the job at the right price. If you want to pamper yourself, looking at the Japanese brand is maybe a great idea, but if don't care about the super extra luxury features then this shaver is perfectly adequate and more than needed

So all my life I have used a razor blade and now knowing that someone else may have to shave me when I am not able. Did research and found this one saying it was one of the best electric razors care givers like to use. To be honest, I have no idea why I didn’t buy one years ago. It’s fantastic with a close shave and self cleaning. Two thumbs up, wow wish I had know.

4 times to buy this every 3 years

I bought this end of NOV 2025, and it’s already completely DEAD (as of Mid-June 2026).It was noticeably declining, couldn't even last a few days between shavings when fully charged. When operating perfectly, it never worked half as good as other electric razors I owned. Took forever to shave like it’s super dull, even when brand new. None of the attachments are useful and the status lights/other are confusing. When it started dying on me mid-shave, I thought it was my fault for not noticing the battery was low, but even when close to dead, it’s really hard to tell! Never got any ‘low battery’ warnings.Its simply a very low quality piece if junk. I’ll never buy a Braun or from Amazon. If I had got this at Costco I could easily return. Lesson learned…

I previously reviewed the 7071, and this shaver (7075) is virtually identical. The most significant differences are 1) the price, which is about $20 more for the 7075, 2) the color - this shaver is (mostly) black, the 7071 is (mostly) silver, and 3) included attachments with the package. The dimensions, specifications (battery runtime, wet/dry ability, 360 head rotation), cleaning station (5434), charge cord, shaver head and shave (which is outstanding) are identical. The accessories are useful if you have a beard: various length trimmer guards, which slide onto the included trimmer - which actually is different than the standard trimmer on the 7071. The 7075 trimmer has slightly more exposed metal trimmer blades which accomodate the guards, and is slightly taller, but fits on the shaver body exactly the same - a "click on" and "pull off" attachment. As far as a trimmer, it functions exactly the same as the trimmer for the 7071.And speaking of attachments, this is a first for Braun - a removable trimmer attachment rather than one that is built-in. The disadvantages of this arrangement is that you have to remove the shaving cassette and replace it with the trimmer cassette to trim sideburns or beard. It's something else to carry when traveling, and something else to lose (although the travel case has a convenient slot for it). The advantages are that if the trimmer breaks or dulls (and built-in trimmers are prone to this), you only need to replace your trimmer and not the whole shaver. No replacements yet, but as an example the detachable Norelco trimmer costs something on the order of $15, as opposed to $300 for a new Norelco 9000 Series shaver. I would expect Braun's replacement to be similarly priced. This arrangement also allows other attachments to be used - the included beard trimmers for example - but also a brush attachment and other types of trimmers (similar to Norelco's "system" approach to shaving) will be available. I actually prefer this approach because it allows more versatility for the purchase of one shaver body, and makes the shaver itself less bulky. As with the 7071 (and this new Braun line of shavers), highly recommended.

I had a series 3 for 10 years and it was great: easy to keep clean, travels well, inexpensive blades. Figured I’d upgrade to a series 5 this time, not impressed, Braun. The manual is a worthless hodgepodge of graphics. Writing exists for a reason…use it. The blade head and blade is delicate and unnecessarily difficult to clean, but it still has to be replaced every 18 mo. at double the price of the series 3. It comes with a travel case but it’s a soft case and I’m pretty sure the first time I pack this in the case the head is going to snap off in transit. The shave is no better than the series 3. The shaver head has to be removed to use the trimmer, on the series 3 they coexist together. Do yourself a favor and stick with the series 3.
