This adapter is basically the old 6ES7 972-0CB20-0XA0 design, which was made for STEP 7 Classic on Windows XP/7. It may still work on older PCs with STEP 7 V5.x, but it is not suitable as a main adapter for Windows 10/11 + TIA Portal. If you want a USB adapter that works with TIA Portal on Windows 10/11, you should look for the newer PC Adapter USB A2 (6GK1571-0BA00-0AA0) or a fully compatible clone instead.
