Legitimate JB Oil.
Legitimate item for JB Vacs. Price was fair, seems to last a few pulls and captures a good amount of the gunk and air. The Smell and color are legit. This is a bonafide Vac Oil.

I've always used Black Gold Pump Oil in my HVAC vacuum. I feel that it is the best oil to use and will continue to use it in the future.

Good clean oil
We have been using our vacuum pumps without replacing the oil in our shop so I finally bought some oil and cleaned out the oil and replaced it with this oil. Its clean and good and a good oil to use to lubricate your vacuum pump. However, you might want to note that it does give off a slightly weird smell compared to the stock oil that I was using but my vacuum pump seems to be working and well lubricated.

I use this oil with my Harvest Right freeze dryer. No matter which oil you purchase you need to replace the oil after every batch - but by running it thru a filter all you'll need to do is top it off a bit for each future run. Harvest Right now gives you a filter with your purchase. Here's what I do: First I drain the oil to a mason jar. Then I let it settle for a day or so. The top will be cloudy, but the bottom will separate and have numerous particles. Best not to send those through your filter for filter longevity. After the oil goes thru the filter it may not be clear anymore- a yellow color is perfectly acceptable as long as it's not cloudy or filled with particles. You can now use the filtered oil in your vacuum pump and just top it off with more Black Gold Vacuum Pump oil to the level indicated on your pump. I've run 6 batches with this bottle of oil and am not even half way through it. When you're on to your second bottle, save the empty bottle to use for the bit of oil with the particles that you don't run through your machine. Then safely dispose of it at one time, when full.
