We were expecting this to just be a book to read but every page has its own activity which not only involves maths but also provides brilliant opportunities for those children learning to read as all of the sentences are short and can be sounded out! Brilliant activity book which will be useful all year!

As an ex infant teacher I was looking forward to using this activity book with my son who loves numbers/numberblocks. However, most of the answers are written in for the user already, so he didn’t need to actually work much out, he just traced over the answers. This makes the exercises pretty pointless as he’s not learning how to work out the sums for himself. If they’d have left the answer spaces blank this would have been a great activity book to work through together! Disappointed.

It was bought as a stocking filler, and the child (4 years old) loved it. The nice thing is that the younger kids can do the exercises with your help. For the older kids, it would still be good, as they can follow it all on their own (assuming they can read). We like it and keep coming back to it.
