A Quality Mouthpiece
I purchased this mouthpiece for my 11 year old grandchild. They were happy to receive it and could hardly wait to use it. It was easy for them to install and it fits their Alto saxophone perfectly. It wasnโt very expensive and Iโm glad I chose it because itโs made of quality material and helps my grandchild to produce a good sound with it.

Its a good beginner mouthpiece
This is a good beginner mouthpeice equivalent to a Yamaha 4C. It is perfectly average and I found myself upgrading to a superior brand after a week. But if you're just getting started, its a great mouthpiece but I have to suggest Yamaha over this.

excellent mouthpiece for the price
automatically improved my beginner jazz tone. i had to get a harder reed tho, because it made me squeak a lot. but thats on me, not the mouthpiece. definitely worth the money

Fantastic affordable beginner friendly
I've been playing around 4 or 5 days now,I'm qualified enough as a beginner to say IMO, this is the best mouthpiece to buy as a beginner ( for me at least....a little disclaimer ๐คญ) Whilst waiting for the cheapest alto saxophone on Amazon to turn up ( I sorta wish I'd paid the ยฃ100 for next day delivery ๐คฃ) I purchased a few items to go with it. Reeds both cane and synthetic, low to medium,a Rovner ligature, also a Rico mouthpiece. I'd read reviews, most of which said " get the Yamaha 4C". Now I like to do my own thing๐, so bought a Rico B5. I love the tone of it,but find it a little tricky to play. I realised this after a day, and sore lips. So, I ordered the 4C. This arrived, straight away I could see why it was recommended for beginners. But I wasn't too keen on the volume, I can't play it quietly. It seems to be either volume set to around 6 or full volume, but maybe that's just me๐ค๐คญ I've been trawling YouTube for lessons, and came across Jay Metcalf. After watching a few videos, I realised he was high up at Bettersax, and thought maybe it's a marketing thing, but who cares. The guy is passionate about all things sax! He comes across as honest and trustworthy, and the passion seems down to the finest detail. Kudos to that man for making decent beginners equipment available at an economical price. So I took a punt on this mouthpiece too, admittedly the cheaper mouthpieces are starting to get expensive now collectively. My first impressions with this are " Eureka". It plays just as easily as the 4C, if not easier!? Honestly, I was blown away by how much easier the 4C was compared to the Rico. But this mouthpiece seems to combine the qualities of both. A nice tone, that's easy to produce, and the sound is that easy to produce, that you don't need to blow hard. So you can play at a lower volume.Personally, I probably prefer the tone of the Rico, but this is so much, much, much easier to get a nice sound out of the instrument. For a complete beginner, this is the mouthpiece I would recommend. The quality is great at such a low mark up. When its time for me to upgrade, the Bettersax line is where I'll be looking. If their cheapest mouthpiece can do this much for my playing, I can only imagine what their instruments are like ๐๐
