Bought it for my son as he loves aeroplanes, however the front wheel came off the first time he dropped it. So, it's not really built for rough handling. We found the sound to be quite loud as well, with no button to turn it off or reduce the volume, except taking off the battery itself. Also, the nose of the aeroplanes is quite hard and pointy which can hurt if not handled carefully.

These die-cast fighter plane toys have become a regular favourite with our two sons. We bought two sets, and they are played with weekly. They have also helped spark interest in aviation, giving the children something familiar to connect with when visiting historical air force clubs or attending live air show displays. The planes are well suited to toddlers. They are easy to handle, produce sounds, and include lights that add to the sense of realism without being overwhelming. Overall build quality feels solid for the price, and they have held up well to regular play. The main weakness is the front wheel, which acts as the trigger for the lights and sounds. This part is plastic and relatively fragile. On both planes it has broken and required repair with superglue. A more rigid design, or the use of metal in this section, would significantly improve durability. Despite this flaw, these are engaging, imaginative toys that children return to again and again. With a small design improvement, they would be excellent.

Great birthday present for my niece who had just seen her first airshow. So an F-35 and F-18 were aircraft she had recently seen. They are durable and well-crafted. The pull back and roll mechanisms works well. The light and sounds are a bonus. The wheels are fixed and durable. A really big hit!
