Good quality and battery life!
I've had this controller for 2 years now. Very good purchase, I love the versatility of it, I can use it with PC, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and so on. The quality feels rugged and sturdy and the battery lasts forever. I love this brand and is cheaper than other with more prestige!

ultimate all in one controller for PC gaming
i cannot recommend this highly enough. ANY controller at this price is a steal, but this one is great quality and does just about everything you could need it for. full compatibility with steam, and can also have windows pick it up as an xbox controller, so it’ll work with your emulators and stuff too. the software is portable, not installed; although there’s not much need for it unless you wanna remap. the controller itself feels excellent and comfortable, even though it doesn’t look like it would be. i am also very happy that it uses the correct layout of face buttons. my only complaint is that steam cannot read it as a playstation controller, so games will always display ABXY. genuine 10/10 purchase, this is my new main controller.

Look no further than 8BitDo to upgrade beyond the basic controller
5 star product, 5 star shipping (received in less than 24 hours), 5 star brand. Definitely recommend. I'm upgrading from a wireless Nintendo Switch Pro controller to this 8BitDo Pro 2 Bluetooth controller and the differences are huge. First off, I'll admit it's a possibility that I ended up with a modestly defective Nintendo Switch Pro controller, but since the day I removed it from the box, I have been fighting with with how extremely small the area is that the thumbsticks shift from neutral (not moving) to full tilt (moving at the fastest rate allowed). Before a thumbstick was even tilted halfway across the allowed area, it was responding as though it was at maximum tilt. It made several adventure games, stealth games, first person games and especially shooters literally impossible to play. By comparison to the above described officially licensed Nintendo controller, is like day and night. I haven't even delved into the customizable options for the 8BitDo Pro 2 and I don't think I'll ever really need to. Aside from a properly functioning progressive tilt sensor in each thumbstick, the controller feels solid in my hands, and while I wasn't sure how I would feel about the texture on the underside of the controller, I'm happy to say that its barely noticeable by touch, though it absolutely does discreetly increase your grip on the controller. I briefly turned the rumble on for a few hits from enemies while playing Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and can confirm that it has a solid set of motors for vibration functionality. I have not yet used the custom back buttons, and read that several people had issues with unintentionally pressing them, but even in my large hands, I have not accidentally pressed either a single time. Triggers are generously springy, but have excellent responsiveness when pulled, and button clicks are pleasantly mild in volume level. You'll always know when you've pressed them in, but it doesn't become annoying, even after an hour or 2 playing a fighting game. amazing controller, hands down the best third party wireless controller I've ever purchased.

Great general use controller.
8BitDo makes my favorite general use controllers. Works with everything. Can be wireless but I prefer to plug them in for the optimal input latency. The Pro 2 is probably the best bang for your buck.

Good alternative controller
Overall great controller. Comfortable and lasts a good while before needing to be charged again. Connects easily with my Switch or PC. My only minor issue with it is the sensitivity of the L2 and R2 buttons. They will activate with the slightest touch to the point where it will activate even when I'm just resting my finger over the button.

The reigning champ.
This remains my all-time favorite controller, but it isn't perfect. I started with the ALPS Pro 2, switched to an Ultimate, now I'm back to the Pro 2 with the hall effect variety. I also like their Ultimate, but this one has some SERIOUS advantages over it, which I'll be mentioning. Pros: -The battery life. The battery easily lasts through a marathon session, and if it happens to die you can swap it out for AAs easily. It's something you don't see in enough controllers now- the ability to change the battery without prying open the controller. It means that even after the battery starts to deteriorate, the controller will still be usable. That's an advantage it has over the more expensive Ultimate. -Customization: Full disclosure: the 8bitdo software is wonky as heck. It doesn't resize properly for different size screens, and sometimes you'll have to move the window around your screen to access buttons at the bottom of the window. This is is an ongoing issue that they need to get on, cuz it's super annoying. That being said, it does everything it promises. Download and run the software (which is self-contained, so you don't need to install it) and it just works. No driver installs, no fiddling, nothing. Within 60 seconds you can go from downloading the software to having finished your customizations. You can remap any button on the controller, change the vibration level, adjust dead zones for the sticks and analog triggers (WONDERFUL), and set macros. You can set and save up to 3 custom profiles to the device itself, and switch between them and the unaltered layout by pressing the button between the sticks. As a use-case example, I use my controller mainly on PC but also on the Switch. I have the paddles mapped so they perform the same action as pressing the sticks, which helps prevent soreness in games where you trigger things like sprinting or sneaking (looking at you, Skyrim...) using the stick. Additionally, I increased the dead zone on the analog triggers to prevent accidental activation because I can be a bit twitchy. -Build Quality 8BitDo's whole thing is mimicking classic controllers. This philosophy seems to extend to the build quality; this thing is as tough as the Game Boy that its buttons ape the design of. Now, onto the cons. -The battery life, again. Now I know what you're thinking. Didn't he say that the battery life was amazing, and listed it as a pro? Well, yes. It lasts a super long time. But here's my issue with it: the only indication you get when the battery is low is the charging light flashes. The charging light is on the top of the controller, so it is fully facing away from you when it's in use. There are 3 lights on the face of the controller (which are used to indicate which profile you're using) and an additional FOUR on the bottom facing you. I wish that those were utilized to indicate a low battery. I've had a few instances where the controller died on me midgame because I didn't realize it was low. -Design Now this is a super minor thing, but 8bitdo please bring back the snes face design! The game boy one is cool and all, but I loved how the snes controller had concave buttons for x and y. In made it so easy to orient yourself without looking down at the controller.

Great controller, especially for older or dpad heavy games
Only have been able to use it once so far, but I was very impressed with the feel of the buttons and sticks, ergonomics, and the precision of the dpad. The colorway looks great too, and the ridges in the dpad, all of which are DMG model Game Boy homages. The real test for today’s controllers tends to be durability and avoiding fast parts failure due to cheap components or cut corners even on high-priced controllers. I haven’t been able to use this controller long enough to speak on its durability yet, but I bought this for the well-regarded dpad, Hall Effect sticks, and the buttons on the newer model (Pro 3) have had durability complaints but the buttons seem better on this model (Pro 2). Happy so far!

Stops the evil controller drift program.
Just doesn't break in casuel sense of use. Tough as nails. Works great with Nintendo switch, PC, apple, and mobile. Has as 4 different modes. Nintendo pro mode is the only way to get the gyro to work. Awesome price for hall effect triggers and joysticks. Not great with 8bitdo pro mobile clip. Rechargeable battery and can be removed in case of Nintendo drift or dead cells. Had to use Steam overlay to adjust the Nintendo drift problem sometimes. ***controller drift problem is a programmed issue stated on players to buy new controller*** It's not psychical in all cases.*** That is where this controller come into play to stop that evil program. Looking at you Sega and Nintendo

buon controller multiuso
attualmente è stato collegato a tv android, firestick e pc.unico difetto è che spesso cambiando da pc ad android,da android a firestick ecc...non sempre viene riconosciuto,ma si deve rifare l'associare da capo.per il resto è molto responsivo

A well-made, versatile controller that supports pretty much every platform
I've been using this for about 2 months at the time of writing this review. Firstly, I love how this feels in my hand. The build quality feels premium. The d-pad is a joy, doesn't feel clicky. The joysticks and buttons feel great too. I've played with Xbox controllers (360, One, Series X) and PS 4 controllers. With the Xbox controllers, I used to have pain on my palm after intense sessions. This one goes for hours (amazing battery life too, by the way) without any discomfort on my hands. And if you run out of battery, you can take out the included pack and swap in a couple of AA cells. Also worth mentioning that even though the layout is that of a PS4/Switch controller, you can change configuration to an Xbox controller via their software, store the config directly on the controller and switch to it with 1 button. Love that, since I'm used to Xbox controllers. I use it paired with either my NVDIA Shield TV Pro for GeForce NOW gaming, or with my Macbook, and it works smooth with both. Rumble isn't supported by the Shield unfortunately, but that isn't 8bitdo's fault. Overall, a solid, well-made controller that is worth the money.
