What is the expiry date?

I don’t know about expiration date of the saffron. I keep it in the refrigerator and use 1 ounce in a year or less👍🏻

How were the dishes made with this saffron? Was a lot or a little needed to get the full flavor that good saffron offers?

In our Family using saffron from my childhood . Everyday and every Cooking food we are using this Saffron ( Not MANCHA SAFFRON) ) as a spices . We are Bangladeshi , Dishes Made in by Our Expert cook and how many needs he knows it , We no need any lessons to learn about saffron as we are using this saffron more than 150 years ago. whats the expiry date on this box?

The box has a sticker on it, stating the year of packing, and "Best Before" date. When I bought it, year of packing was 2011 and best before 2019. Of course, when you buy it now it will have a different year. Keep the plastic bag tightly closed and the bag in the tin and it should last a long time. The optimal shelf life is 8 years.

I am wondering if anyone has used and compared this saffron to the Gathering of Saffron brand saffron, if it is the same in quality, if not taste?

Linda, I haven't used Gathering of Saffron, but I can vouch for the intensity and flavor of La Mancha. I first received this as a gift, then bought it for myself when I ran out (years later). I see that now the price has doubled since I received my first tin, so I suggest you jump on it and buy the big one! Cheers, MLR
