Fantastic, old school, dependable traps.
Very good traps. Dependable, durable, and easy to setup. I prefer a mix of Chewy Chip Ahoy, and a bit of peanut butter. Just a little bigger than a green pea is needed. Set, and check daily for visitors. If your critters are not getting caught, bait it again a few more times WITHOUT setting it to snap. On the 3rd day set it. They'll be less cautious by then, and snappity snap!! If used outdoors, you can screw in a tiny eye bolt, and tie it off to something if they drag it away. Overall, though these are still the best mechanical traps around. I buy in bulk, you never know when they'll come visiting your place, and you want to show some hospitality!!

Yup! Still Work Great!
Can be a bit tricky if you're not used to spring traps. Watch the videos for proper operation. The mouse traps are quite sensitive. I found the tiny staple can go flying when you release the armbar. I would try peanut butter first, it's easier to put a couple of drops on the plate. I found sliced peperoni works well as bait. They are reusable and easy to clean in bleach water if you want to reuse the traps. Use dog poop bag to pick up the trap and mouse, then tie and put it in bin. I've never had a problem with odor, just check 'em often.

There simply isn't a better mousetrap
I have been using this style of trap for 60 years. It is simple and deadly. The mouse is dispatched humanely and completely by the snap bar rather than starving to death on a sticky trap or inside of a live catch box. Why would you want to catch and release a house mouse anyway? The trap is inexpensive enough that I throw it out with the mouse still attached rather than trying to reuse it.

Not for rats
It worked. . . kinda. It didn't go off the first time, so I added more bait. It did catch the rodent the second time; unfortunately, I found out I was dealing with a rat instead of a mouse after the trap activated, and these traps aren't strong enough to kill rats, leaving it to go running through my dining room with the trap stuck on its head. The loss of a star is due to the trap not triggering the first time the rat ate the bait. Getting a mouse trap instead of a rat trap was my fault. If you're unsure which type of rodent is hiding in your house, I'd suggest their larger rat traps instead.

Some of them worked some came apart.
Some of them worked alright but they are pretty much single use. I had several 3-4 that never triggered but the bait was gone. I used a screwdriver to hit the trigger and had to hit it several times for it to release then the whole bracket came off the wooden base. I have set several more and will see if they work but they are not as good as any I have used in the past. I’m ordering the plastic ones and see if they work better.

Gold standard
These are 2nd best only to having too many hungry cats. The object is to smear a scent film of [peanut butter] bait on the pedal. This causes the vermin to think the pedal is the meal therefore triggering it. So, don't put a meals worth on trap causing your disappointment of missing bait and trap that wasn't triggered. I use wood skewers to apply bait. Set more than you think is needed since there probably are more mice than expected!

All mouse traps aren't created equal!
You would think a mouse trap is a mouse trap. Well I have tried other mouse traps with little success, however this brand is by far the best, they work every single time! Although I would prefer the critters to stay out of my house, but when they do get in I do what I gotta do, and use this brand always you won't be disappointed!

Will Smith smack loud!
Works great... only took off a star because the snap is loud enough to wake me up in the far end of the house when one goes off at 3:00 a.m.! (Seriously it's a five star other than the fact that it snapped down on one Mouse and all it got was the tip of its nose so it suffocated and thus suffered)
