M2A016L Mini Mag AA Cell Torch in Blister Pack - Black

have had one for years , this was a replacement for one I let the batteries corrode inside and ruined it. I swapped the bulb for an LED and the end cap for an off/on push button from the scrap torch (both available from amazon) which I highly recommend.

Excellent value for money, maglite torch. Excellent quality & durability. Bright light. Zoom feature excellent. Battery life good. Nice & light to hold & carry.

Very compact with lots of power, the beam goes on forever, which can be adjusted. Good value for money. The one thing that let it down for me is the light, it's yellow, where I was expecting it to be white. Otherwise all is good 👍

Excellent what you expect from Maglite

Present for my nephew, he loves it. Just the right size for keeping in his pocket. Great value for what is an iconic product.

I have to give a 5-star review as the torch is excellent quality; there is no doubt of that. However, I don't recommend it as it has a xenon bulb rather than an LED. The problem is that it is turned on by twisting the front bulb housing. Immediately, the torch is on wide focus which leaves a dark patch in the middle of the beam. Even when focused to its sharpest, the beam is uneven. It's OK, but not more than that. It reminds me of the cheap torches I used to get in my Christmas stocking back in the 1960s. These days when you can buy excellent quality LED torches for a similar price, this technology is too far out of date and gives very inferior results.

This torch is as good as the one that I had formerly owned where unfortunately the batteries were left in and became immovable after they corroded.

Great little torch, although I strongly suspect it’s a (very good) fake. What makes me suspect this? Take a look at my photos… 1) It’s much smaller (not as long) as my other genuine AA mini maglite. Genuine on the right, this one on the left. 2 ) take a look at the logo / typography. The genuine (lower one) has a much better quality, and the logo typography is correct, with very the correct close kerning / character spacing ( I’m a graphic designer so I notice the subtitles of typography) of the MAGLITE logo. 3) the internal threading on the genuine is way better - the black threading, it’s cleaner and the end cap screws in much more smoothly, this one is the bare aluminium threading. 4) the beam quality is on a different planet for the genuine torch (the rhs one). As I say, it’s very good if it is a fake, and I actually have no complaints as yet given the low price. Let’s see how it lasts in daily use. I may swap out the bulb for an LED for decent brightness, although it’s used mainly indoors so not strictly needed.

The color is fantastic and the build is legendary as with all maglites, however this is the incandescent version and is not anywhere near as bright as the LED version ( add $25 to the price for the LED version ). I find that for most things like working behind TV's or on soundboards and etc you can't go wrong. I know everyone's cell has a flashlight app on it but it drains your cell life quickly so if you need a flashlight for things like looking around your entertainment center or finding something in the back of a tool box or vehicle, or even looking under the hood / vehicle then you can't go wrong. They are tough, work well, last for ever ( I still have my first one from 20+ years ago ) feel good in your hand AND inexpensive compared to the LED lights. AA batteries are not very expensive and are used all around your house now. If you don't need to light up a football stadium or see for miles then this light works great. Sometimes the LED lights are way too bright for stage and sound work or when you don't want to light up the whole theater but just the area you are working in. They throw the light plenty far for every day use!

There is 5 star straight away for the built quality. So, I got this torch, thinking it's gonna be super cool. But turns out, it's kinda old-school with a twist to turn it on. The light it gives, not so great. There's this dark spot in the middle, even when I try to make it sharp. Feels like those torches from a long time ago, not like the fancy LED ones nowadays. My mistake, I thought it was LED when I bought it. If you like old school feel go for it.

Yo no lo uso para camping sino por la potencia lumínica para ver bien cualquier cavidad. Me encanta su calidad y que además de su robustez y fiabilidad que va con pilas estándar y además en el tapón lleva una bombilla de repuesto. No hay que tirar el plástico rojo que viene en el compartimento de las pilas, es donde viene la bombilla y debe introducirse ese tubito de plástico en el hueco que deja el tapón de rosca. Si hay que cambiar la bombilla usar guantes o cogerla con algo de tela ya halógena y si se toca con los dedos se funde. Un gran producto.

Bonne puissance dans un format réduit. Parfait comme lampe de secours dans une voiture.
