The B+W uv filter that goes with this lens is the 43mm? Will it fit if I already have a Voigtlander hood mounted onto the lens?

43mm is the correct filter size. And yes you can mount the voigtlander hood with a 43mm filter mounted. I have used B+W F-Pro and a Zeiss filter and both worked fine, though if the filter has a thick ring that protrudes past the diameter of the barrel it may not work. Filters mount via the standard filter thread and the hood attaches via a bayonet mount on the outside of the lens barrel. So there could be an issue with odd filters that have a very thick ring, but I bet most new ones will work fine.

What adaptar i need for a7?

You need a Leica M to Sony E mount adapter. You will only be able to shoot in manual focus and exposure modes and the camera will not detect the make/model of lens.

Is this coupled to the Leica M rangefinder?

When this Voigtlander Nokton Classic 40 mm F1.4 is attached to an M-type Leica, basically the 40 mm bright frame is not displayed and the 50 mm bright frame is displayed instead. Therefore, when shooting, the angle of view of exactly 40mm is not visible, so you have to compensate for this by using your imagination.

how much wiggle does the aperture ring have? Does this affect function?

It moves in very clearly defined small clicks between 1.4 and 16.
