Just put it in, it was super quick and easy to install. It most definitely adds a good amount of support which was much needed. I do still intend on replacing the foam in the cushion of my favorite corner but it makes a huge difference with just the slats added. I was afraid I'd have to replace the whole couch, no longer thinking that's the case. My couch is a leather with a fabric under the cushions, extra deep at 26"x 52" got the 25"x 50" and these fit well without showing so that's good but I do wish they had the option for a bit longer to slide into the corners better. I almost considered getting the full couch size but think that would have been too much.
