I've used this thermometer regularly for almost 6 years with no issues. Incredibly accurate and I've NEVER had to change the battery. Super fast read times and easy-to-see screen. The battery cover randomly fell off (after 6 years of use) and I noticed it was missing a small piece of plastic which prevented the cover from staying in place. Other than the battery cover breaking, this thermometer is perfect, especially for the price.

Let's skip the 14 pages of what I was doing that made me buy a thermometer. You probably don't need a backstory on every detail of my life, my cooking, my kids, my pets. I'll keep it short and sweet. Except for that part. This little gadget works great and had a couple of bonuses I like quite a bit that I probably missed in the description when I bought it. 1. It turns off and on automatically when you open and close it, kind of like a folding pen knife. Open it, it turns on. Close it or leave it still for a period, it turns off, which saves battery life. 2. The back side has a magnet, which can be incredibly useful. I happen to have a metal object next to my grill and it's nice to just leave this thermometer hanging right next to where you'll use it. No looking around for it. 3. It seems accurate. I can't guarantee. 4. It's just a thermometer. It's better than the other ones I've bought over the last couple of years. I'd buy it again - that should be all you need to know.

I liked this thermometer when I got it and used it almost daily. Easy to use, easy to read, quick reacting. I usually cleaned the unit by merely wiping off the probe or washing the probe if needed. Recently the thermometer got wet when it was cleaned by someone else. I don't know exactly what happened, but it appeared that water got into the display and the unit stopped displaying legible numbers. It dried out after several days, but was stuck in Celsius and the backlight on the display no longer worked. I contacted support who initially weren't very helpful, but a little persistence did result in them sending me a new thermometer, since mine had failed after only about six months and the warranty is for 1 year. I do give them credit for that although it took several contacts and about three weeks to actually get a replacement. The instructions that come with the unit say "Do not completely immerse the digital thermometer in water for minutes." I would be more careful than that and wash just the metal probe. Except for that issue, this is a very satisfactory quick read thermometer at a good price.

I got this as a gift for my dad on Father's Day. He was really impressed with the quality, and temperature accuracy. It's very compact so it stores well.

Easy to use ,used on meat with my new ninja air fryer

This really is a great product. I bought two of these instant-read digital thermometers; one for the kitchen and one for the BBQ. Easy to use and understand right out of the box. It has a fast reading time of 2-4 seconds, has a large and bright LCD screen with a backlight, and a hold button for the temperature. It is also very easy to switch from C to F at the push of a button. The body is also magnetized so it's great when using at the BBQ. You just bend out the metal probe and it turns on, and fold it back and it goes off. Or the unit automatically turns itself off after 10 minutes. It's not only great for cooking but baking as well. It reads to 1/10th of a degree. And it is wonderful when you want accurate readings of liquid temperatures. And it comes with an extra button battery in the box. I love it!
