Music Area WIND30 Acoustic Guitar Gig Bag Waterproof with 30mm cushion protection - Green

Although I retired after over 30 years on the road as a musician/entertainer, I still perform out 3-8 times a month. And although, while traveling on the road, I always used hard cases for my guitars, I would have used this gig bag if I had ever seen one. I have spent hours searching and reading reviews online for a gig bag that I would feel comfortable in its ability to keep a guitar safe while being able to carry like a back pack, and having a fair amount of storage for all the stuff I pack along. I am so impressed with this bag. It fits my dreadnought great but more importantly, it also fits my Gretsch Country Gentleman, and that is the guitar I took a chance and bought it for. I would think that most 335 style guitars would fit as well. This gig bag (and I hesitate to call it that) seems to have high quality construction. The straps, the outside material and the inside padding gives great confidence for its intended purpose. If you handle your guitar with any amount of respect, I would think this would give all the protection you will ever need. However, if you're an idiot, and don't have respect for how you handle your guitar...well then...maybe you should change to playing a harmonica or a triangle, at least then when you destroy your instrument, you won't be out as much. I wish this company made a bag that would fit my Gretsch Jumbo Falcon Rancher acoustic. I currently have several hard cases and several gig bags for a variety of guitars, but this is by far, my new favorite! UPDATE: I have now been using this for over 3.5 yrs and I am still as impressed as I was when I originally purchased it. It continues to serve me well. I don't think in all this time I have used any of my other cases

Beautiful bag. Very well made. Quality is simply outstanding. You'll feel the quality the first time you touch it. Feels like a nice suitcase. Liked it more than my Reunion Blues. The pouch inside the zipper bag in front, that is supposed to hold your ipad, is too small for my Microsoft Surface Pro. Guess it's only to hold an Ipad. However, the zipper bag holds it just fine, just the little pouch inside the zipper bag doesn't. This is one of the nicest gig bags I've ever seen. It's even prettier in person. A classy gray/green color. Picture doesn't do it justice, the green in it doesn't seem to show. The picture on Amazon is much more accurate. Not cheap...and it shows ;) Good job. - SF 6 Month UPDATE: I've been using this bag for gigs and rehearsals at least 2-3/week. It has held up beautifully. Looks pretty much brand new. It feels really nice nice and solid when carrying it. I actually look forward to carrying my guitar. The handle is extremely comfy and the straps are solid and nicely padded. Very good protection. Really, it all feels tight and new even after 6 months of constant use. Surprised at how many people notice it..."nice bag." I usually carry my Martin in it and this is a nice compliment to it. I mean, when you look at the price we can pay for guitars, the cost of this doesn't seem so out of line for superb protection and good looks. I bought this for $180 6 months ago (the acoustic guitar version.) I would buy it again for the same price. However, today it's listed for $115. That, folks...is a steal. Really impressed with this case ("bag" doesn't do it justice), and thankful to have picked it up when amazon had them at a crazy low price! (wish I'd have bought 2-3!) Other reviews have covered most of the bases, and actually, the manufacturer's description is on-point... they're not overselling the quality or construction. My main reason for posting a review is to point out that at least two of my solid bodies for which I intended to use it are quite a tight fit: one is a Dearmond M-75T (like a Guild Bluesbird), which is Les Paul shaped but just a bit wider at the lower bout... it fits, but just barely - pretty tight getting it zipped up. The other is a Jazzmaster, although removing one of the extra pads at the bottom of the case took care of the problem. Strat/tele style guitars, no problem, and my Supro Black Holiday fits just fine too, although the long oddball headstock pushes up into the top foam a bit. So, just be aware! Great case, though... I've also acquired the WIND20 model acoustic case, which is also impressive, and a TANG30 bass case is on the way! Not sure why Amazon was selling certain models at such a discount, but glad a friend pointed it out to me so I could get in on the savings.

I only use gig bags (never use hardshell cases), and have owned a lot of different bags for my guitars. The Music Area Wind 30 is one of the best I've had. It is very sturdy and protective. I'm have the dreadnought size and am using it for a Gitane D-500 gypsy jazz style guitar. With the extra bumper/pads the case came with it fits snugly (but with extra room at the head because this guitar is kind of short). This guitar has a slightly arched top and a raised bridge, so even though the body depth is less than a typical flattop guitar, the total height from back to top of the bridge is a little greater. The case closes snugly on it, without squashing anything. The neck support fits it perfectly. Between the case's thick/dense padding and its reinforcement, I have no worries at all about carrying the guitar in it or putting it in the trunk of car. I also have a Mono M80 (dread size) case that I was using with this guitar until I got the Music Area (and moved another guitar into the Mono). I would say the protectiveness/sturdiness of the two cases is very similar. The Mono's accessory pockets are a little bigger and open a little more easily, but the Music Area's are still really good (much better than the ones on a Reunion Blues Continental, a case I also have) There's only one real negative about the Music Area -- the way the straps are positioned, it carries high on the back, and can bump into low doorways or obstructions (a problem it shares with the Reunion Blues Continental). Because of this and the better pockets, I'd rate the Mono more highly, but it's close. The other thing is that the prices on these bags swing up and down by a lot. I got mine for about $110 in early 2021, but right now they're up to about $190. At $110, it's a no brainer, better than anything else at this price that I've seen. At $190, it's closing in on Mono and Reunion Blues, and is not a bargain.

I own several "soft" guitar gig bags, and they all pale in comparison to the Music Area WIND30. Though you wouldn't want to stack things on it, it's pretty close to being as protective as most hardshell guitar cases. I am using this particular bag for a 000 concert sized 12 fret acoustic, and the case is actually designed for a 14 fret dreadnought - it's plenty roomy. The exterior is a very protective looking olive-green material. For those inclined to gadgets and sheet music, this bag has pockets galore to accommodate most any accessory. I don't use the backpack straps, but they look like they mean business - the handle sure does. Best looking and working zippers I've ever seen on a guitar "bag". And the bottom of the bag has a heavy duty "boot" to protect the bottom. You wouldn't want to immerse it in water, but this bag should offer very good protection for your instrument on rainy days. Love it.

The is a very well made case. I need an all purpose case that is easy to carry, sturdy, a lot of pockets and (most importantly) fits all of my guitars. I have all of my guitars in studio on a multi guitar rack and I did not want to worry about pulling the exact case for the guitar or bass I was using for that gig. I have a Washburn HB35 (ES-335 style), Epiphone Les Paul, Larrivee OM-40 acoustic (Martin OM-28 specs), 5-string Carvin Bass. Any of these guitars fit in the case. The pockets are little tight for putting a lot of cables and gear but if you strategic about it then you could make it work. This is a very well padded case. I think this rivals the more expensive cases. Not sure how much more padding a “soft case” could have.

1 Year of ownership: Now that I've been using this as my main gig bag for a year I can attest to its durability and quality. I'm very happy I didn't spend twice as much on another brand. The most amazing thing is there aren't even signs of wear after all this time. The foam of the body, the handle, the straps, and zippers all appear to be good as new. It's very impressive. I'd give it 5 stars if it weren't for the cheap looking cursive brand logo and the fact that there is no flexibility with the pockets whatsoever. If you fill-up the smaller pockets it cuts into space you'd otherwise have in the bigger pockets, and vice versa. Luckily, this thing has lots of little pockets located all around so I can make do. 2 years of Ownsership: Everything still applies. Literally no signs of wear and I gig and practice at least twice a week. It's very impressive.

I’ve owned several gig bags over time for my instruments and have owned other Music Area models as well, but finally decided to give their more expensive model a try (got it used like new condition for a lower price) and I am once again impressed with this company. They offer the best bang for buck out there IMHO. The only thing missing was the part that holds the neck of the guitar so it doesn’t move, but was to be expected considering it was labeled as “used like new”. Other than that this is a perfect option for those seeking a nice sturdy gig bag with many pockets for their guitar. Pictured is my Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro for reference.
