Nice stuff, not a nightmare to print
Bought this to print a high temp tool head for my Voron printer. It wasn't too hard to print, but you'll need to achieve some quite high temperatures so you won't be printing this on a big standard printer. Once annealed it's quite tough, light and very brittle. It's quite hard to keep dry, you'll need the ceramic bead drying stuff, dessicant won't cut it and an active heater needs to be warmer than your typical filament dryer will go; some people dry it in an air fryer I hear, but don't use the one you cook food in, it's not safe; buy one specifically for drying this and annealing in salt.Haven't used the whole roll yet but this will be my go to next time I need more.

Tough Filament
This is the first PET CF filament I tried so I cannot compare it to others. All I can say is the resulting prints are very tough and rigid.Dry, dry, dry, absolutely necessary with this filament as you're no doubt aware. Straight out of the vacuum sealed bag it was pretty good but after a day the prints were rough.Heated dryer was purchased (Creality Official Space PI Filament Dryer Plus) and this resulted is perfect prints.Attached pic, two bottom components printed from freshly opened bag. Top after drying for 12 hrs at 65 deg C.Note the glossy textured finish and lack of layer lines, its actually better than depicted. The print between opening the bag and drying the filament went straight into the bin, ragged and rough. This was circa 12hrs exposed to UK cold and humidity.I thought I would try and pull the print apart to see just how strong it was, absolutely no chance. It opened up a little at the clamping end but went no further.Overall, great value for money, print using the specified parameters, keep it dry.

Excellent engineering filament
Bought this to upgrade some parts on my Voron which are currently ASA CF but I wanted the extra rigidity and temperature resistance of annealed PET CF. Yes, it is brittle compared to some other filaments but as long as your careful loading it's not an issue. Loaded it straight out of the box, downloaded the settings from the Siraya website and threw a benchy at it. Didn't bother with any of my usual calibration routines and was very impressed with the results. This will be my new go-to when I want strong heat resistant parts.

Fiberheart PET CF: Solid Prints, Failing Corkscrew Spool
I ran this through a Qidi Plus 4, capped at 100 mm/s. The material is technically sound, but the spooling is a disaster. It has a permanent helical "cobra roll" that puts a full 360° twist in the line every 30 cm. This torsion gets worse as you get closer to the spool core, creating enough friction in the PTFE tubes to trigger false tangle alarms.By the last third of the roll, you're basically babysitting the printer to manually help it feed.Real-world performance is the only thing saving this filament.Using a 0.6 mm nozzle at a 0.24 mm layer height with 40% gyroid infill, the parts are industrial grade. There’s zero delamination, and the carbon fiber loading gives it a dense, tactile weight that beats out standard PET-CF blends.Since this was my first roll, I can't say if the "corkscrew" winding is a consistent manufacturing flaw or just a bad batch, but it's an annoyance you shouldn't have to manage at this price point.Verdict: 3***Buy it for the structural strength, but be prepared to fight the spool once you pass the halfway mark, even when using an AMS to force it through, it still had tangle issues with the high friction (also the tubes are less than a month old)

Beautiful prints, but unusable
Prints beautifully using manufacturer supplied print settings and the finish is beautiful, however my roll was extremely brittle the filament would keep snapping in my hand when loading it into my Direct drive extruder, and layer adhesion was poor.I had high hopes, maybe this roll was just a bad one

Good quality PET CF at a really good price.
PET CF is a really strong filament I use for industrial prints. Siraya PET CF prints well with high temp enclosed printers. Needs to be dried before and during printing to obtain best layer adhesion and reduce stringing. Annealing really improves its strength. Highly recommend at this price range.

Prijsverschil

Make it (not) snappy
While this review is technically for the CF since that’s the order I selected to review, I’ve purchased both the black PET-CF and the FDE PET-GF from this listing. I like them both. The GF is a dream to print. Every bit as easy as PLA. I had problems with the CF and I think others have had the same problem with an excessively brittle spool that snaps in the feed tube, but I was able to fix that. I use a Centauri carbon with a .6mm nozzle and print directly from a Sunlu S2 dryer.First of all, SirayaTech says to NOT dry the filament right out of the bag. They say that they dry the spools before packaging and that too high a dry temp can initiate the annealing process and make the filament unprintable, so I took their advice. Like I said the GF printed flawlessly but the CF was horribly brittle. Siraya also says to dry your spools if you have problems, and after about 18 hours in a food dehydrator at 60c it’s printing just as nicely as the GF. But Siraya also says to print this stuff at 300 and that caused stringing so I’m running it at 295 with much better results. So if you’re having problems with the CF breaking excessively, dry it low and slow. I put mine in the dehydrator before bed last night, took it out once I got home from work, and loaded it into my Sunlu S2 for printing. So far so good. I’m halfway through the print and no breakage. Last time I tried printing this filament it broke on like layer 12. I’ll add that I also turned the speed way down, cutting it roughly in half in the slicer and then running the whole print on silent mode. Seems to be working great now and so far I’m extremely impressed with Siraya’s filaments. Great materials at a very reasonable price. I’ll be really interested to test this stuff head to head against another one of my favorites — Sunlu’s carbon and glass filled PA6. I think this Siraya PET and the Sunlu PA6 are both incredible values when it comes to high performance filament. The obvious advantage of the Siraya reinforced PET is that it’s almost as easy to print as PLA. I’ve never had issues with it tangling and the finished prints look fantastic.

Imprimiendo a 290
