Fits my revolver very well. Easy to load the rounds in the loader and easy to load in the revolver. Will likely buy two or three more.

High quality speed loader that won't immediately crack or chip when dropped to the asphalt / concrete during shooting drills (like hks). At around the same $17 pricepoint as that disposable plastic brand, it's a no brainer. The adjustable drop tension bolt is a huge bonus as well since a lighter release means faster loading times from minimal effort. While MakerShot has way less revolver fitment options, the better design and low price puts these speed loaders ahead of most brands.

Well made, fits the Colt Detective Special cylinder configuration exactly, will speed up reloading significantly. Believe it isa good value for the money. If you have oversized grips like I do you will need to modify them slightly to allow the loader to align properly but the area that needs to be trimmed should not have any affect on your grip.

Release difficult and fit to my 605 poor.

Works as intended but not with a H&R 939. Can wiggle it into place but easier to load by hand.

Taurus 85 .38, 5 shot revolvers are already tricky for speed loaders. For one. they do not seat fully without massive modifications to the handle and even the slide release. However, most speed loaders do not need to be fully seated to release the bullets and load the weapon. This speedloader will not work even with the tips of the bullets lined up. The knob will not turn, they will not release. I tried it on my old Rossi .38 with the same issue. The same brand I bought for my W&W 629 .44 Mag work perfectly! So it is not the speedloader, but the compatibility with certain handguns.
