Was pretty excited to receive this as my first board to learn on. I live close to a beach where there's quite a bit of good surfing. Receiving a damaged board definitely dampens my excitement a bit and product seems a little cheap to me seeing the inside of it here. Probably won't last long as I don't want Styrofoam to end up in the ocean. The tail was what was mostly damaged here but the nose was also bent inwards a bit as well.

Ok. Fast backstory. I’m a lifelong skater. I’m mid 30s and don’t recall a time I didn’t skate. So skating feels like walking to me. Popping stairs, hitting rails, carving whatever outside of vert lol. So balance is great. Went to Hawaii and wife got me a surf class. Was put on a 9’ rode it well enough instructor said “you are doing so well let’s switch” put me on his 8’. I was doing good on that. So I bought the 8’ wavestorm to start my journey. As it is summer in north fl the first chance of catching waves at a time I was off was yesterday morning. Nothing big 1-2’ florida summer mush but had a ball. What I’m trying to get at is this board is extremely easy to catch waves and balance. But if you have a lifetime of board sports and aren’t rotund I recommend the 7’ model. Backstory to help you evaluate what is BEST FOR YOU Skated almost every day of my life Spent most summers growing up on a wakeboard or skimboard This is only posted in hopes y’all guys have a good comparison to know what will be best for you and your level of ability at least balance wise or whatever. The fins that I received for the rasta board are not green, red, or yellow like in the images. They are all lime green.

Used during a surf lesson and did well. Others had similar/same board. I like the 8' versus 9' and was able to get up on the board after 1 try (guess I have good balance). Before use, I waxed the surface with foam board specific board wax base then tropical to get a good grip which made a big difference. Decent beginner board. Being only foam, I think it could be a little less expensive to buy but would recommend to others.
