So left cartidge and moves to feather popular closed comb DE 1year back ,then moved to Parker 26C open comb 6months back ,and now to Parker Sar1 shavette a week back . First day got a great shave with two nicks . Second day tried with,against,across the grains .got one Nick and result is BBS . Good news is now it comes with Parker shavette blades ,not the pathetic shark blades anymore . Try DE razor then I atcb video on shavette tips and take a leap of faith . You won't repent. You won't go back to other form of shaving . For best result wash face with warm water ,apply ore shave oil and use a good slick cream or soap

I am happy with the purchase. I think its good for someone new to straight razors like me. Except for a few nicks here and there, the quality of the material used is pretty good. The instructional leaflet on blade fitting is also pretty straight forward. Though I am still coming to terms with straight razor shaving, I fee the weight, balance and precision are pretty good. I cut myself a few times before I had the sense to go through learning videos to see how it's done right. After that it was smooth sailing without a single cut. I had a month's growth of beard which I was able to dispose off without much effort. So for beginners, ready yourself on the technique before you attempt shaving. As for the durability, I have learned online that cleaning and drying properly after each use will prolong the life of the tool. But only time will tell about the actual quality. The only reason I deducted a star was because I did not like the complimentary blades provided. Keep some good quality blades handy.

This is my very first shavette. I have been using a DE razor for quite some time and wanted to give shavette's a try. It does requires some time to get used to it. So expect some cuts and nicks at the beginning. I found these to be little more harsh than the DE razors. Parker razor quality is good considering the price. You have to be careful at the edges, as I realised its the sharp edge points of the exposed blade that causes most of the nicks and cuts. Overall, I am satisfied with the shavette.

Manufacturing quality of the product is good but after inserting the blade in razor, the blades alignment is not in line. The spare blades provided with the razor have very low cutting edge and its very difficult to get a smooth shave with them.

Love the sleek design and the feel in hand is good.

Excellent straight razor. Precision engineering. The price is on a higher side though. But excellent razor. Purely made of stainless steel but also very handy and compact. It came along with few blades. Overall nice experience. Recommended.

This product is good one but blades are not enough sharpened one , I have tested all most all type of razors.... Now I am using pearl DE razor bought from Amazon.... it is really amazing.I bought straight razor to learn and to become mastering this classic shaving method any way buy this if you have passion of close shave.after my couple of days shaving I found certain things about this razor Pros 1. You will get barber finish shaving 2. High quality shave in less cost 3. You will get huge amount of satisfaction compared to other shaving device Cons 1. Difficult to learn 2. Initially lot of cut and nick 3. Need lot of time and patience to shave and mastering But don't be obstinate to buy this product.... It is for those who seriously believing that good shaving is an art.

The balance and precision is good. Beginners will find this straight razor easy to use and once you get a hang of it then you won't be going back to your regual cartridge razors.

Love this razor, bought it because I was told straight razors give the best shave, it’s true. But if you’ve never shaved with one before watch a video on how to BEFORE you try it, its very different from modern razors.
