Definitely value for money as the food provides high quality nutrition, kibble size is slightly bigger which encourages cats to chew their food instead of swallowing. Kinda oily and has a strong smell for cat attraction, doesn't discomfort humans. Must try if you want quality cat food at a reasonable price.

Apart from the low price, the product package looked quite different from what we usually buy for our cat. This might not be the case for all packets. For some packets, our kitten refused to eat and we had to transition from the old food to the new food. So make sure you judge the authenticity by checking bar codes and examining the package. Our vet recommended this when our 4 month old kitten was spayed but availability is always an issue. Thank you Amazon for making this product available. We started giving this to her at 6 months when her weight gain was steady and feeding times were 2-3 times a day. Before that we continued free-feeding with the normal food. The instructions at the back can be followed and since I have a kitchen scale, I roughly measure the amount according to her weight and divide that into 3 meals (one before bedtime, one before work, one in the evening) or more small meals if I'm at home. I reduce the amount if I feed wet food and treats. Take care though because Royal Canin can be really addictive to cats. They may cry and beg for more and even hunt out the packet and you may feel that the quantity is less and she must still be hungry. In reality, you should start giving what is mentioned on the packet and then adjust after monitoring the cat's weight. After a while, they'll stop or reduce following you around and begging when they get used to the new routine. And as much as possible, try to trick them into having the same amount divided into many smaller meals during the day. If your cat is 7 years and above, there is another version called 7+.

I have been using this for my 7 yr old kid since the past 2 months (as she had developed few issues in her blood report) as prescribed by the vet. Boiled fish mixed with Whiskas dry food that I used to give earlier has been completely stopped. I was apprehensive about its acceptability but my kid has not displayed any fuss; rather, her appetite has also increased. I soak the measured portion in a little water for about 30 mins and also sprinkle a teaspoon of Royal Canin Steralised 37 wet meal before feeding. To be fed strictly as per Vet's direction.
