Curing Salt No.1. Quick Cure Premium Prague Powder XL 1.5 Pound Bottle by SPQR Seasonings

I used this curing salt for homemade bologna and had excellent results. The cure dissolved easily into the water and mixed thoroughly into the meat without any issues. The finished bologna developed a consistent cured color throughout the entire batch, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I also appreciated that the curing salt arrived fresh and free of clumps or moisture problems. I used my own recipe after spending time researching several meat-curing websites, and this product performed exactly as expected. The packaging sealed well and the larger bottle size should last quite a while for home sausage making projects. Overall, this is a quality curing salt that gave reliable, consistent results and worked perfectly.

Make sure to use a recipe. This stuff is SUPER strong. That said- it’s so effective and works great. Highly recommend. Super easy to use, great color and texture. It’s super fine w no clumping. So many different uses. Great thing to have in your cabinet.

This curing salt is just as good as most higher end curing salts and the bottle they send you is pretty large! There is enough curing salt here (if you use it wisely) to cure multiple fresh hams! good luck!

Made a beef tongue with this stuff. It works perfectly. Just a small amount was alll that was needed to pickle the tongue. It turned out beautifully.

Works for curing brisket. The reason for four stars is the bottle is too big. I probably won't be able to use it all. I just wish it came in smaller quantities.

We were making our own corned beef and the brine recipe called for 5 teaspoons of curing salt. We didn’t have enough at the house so the warden ordered a bottle here online. It arrived on Monday the 9th and we made the brine a day or two later and we brined a 5 lb. brisket flat for four days, rinsed it off and left in the refrigerator til St. Patrick’s day, then put it in the crock pot. It came out with perfect flavor and texture after about a 6 hour cook taking it to about 200 degrees. The curing salt did its thing. Buy it, you’ll like it.
