KA3005D

I have a bunch of these and they work absolutely great. One of them has been running 24/7 for probably 2 years now. There are no power spikes if you use the output on/off button, the only way to get a small spike is to cut the mains power while the output is enabled but you're not supposed to do that anyway. I very much prefer these over switch-mode supplies because the output is extremely clean. The voltage and current settings and display are very accurate. I use these all the time and I bought my first one 4 years ago; I have both KA3005D and KA3005P (programmable) models and I've used to software to script one of them for automated testing. I did have an issue at one point where I needed customer support and both Korad and the seller (SRA) have been absolutely great with their support which is really important to me and I would say they went above and beyond. I had originally considered buying a "fancy" bench-top dual supply but decided that for the same money I can get 3 of these and that turned out to be a very good decision. My priority is to never get into a situation where I needed another power supply and not have one. I have 6 of them permanently as part of my work bench and a few more to move around where needed. If for some reason I needed another one I would buy this one again, no question.

This is a very nice and not terribly expensive single output power supply. I have yet to use it extensively, but ran it through its paces the other night and found the features worked pretty much as expected. I especially like the programable memories, so I can set it up for different applications, and just tap the memory button and be ready to go. The over voltage and over current protections work well, as do the constant current and voltage functions. I do find the fine adjust a little odd, but that seems par for the course with these supplies. Finally, the ability to switch off the output and adjust the voltage and current with the output off is quite nice. FWIW, I've been doing electronics as a hobby and profession for pushing 50 years now.

High quality linear PS. Very low noise. Amazingly accurate digital meter (checked against Keysight DMM). Very good price. Would buy again. And they will answer your emails.

There are a lot of cheap junk power supplies on Amazon -- this is not one of them. It's a LINEAR power supply not a switching power supply. The cheap ones are little more than repurposed computer power supplies. The construction quality and controls are like what you'd find on units costing at least twice this amount. The only problem I have with it is there's a voltage spike on the output when you power it on (after it's on the output on/off button is clean though). I would have knocked off a star for that but you'll find much worse in all the cheap switching power supplies, so I leave it at 5 stars for the incredible value. Very glad I bought this unit and I recommend it if you can avoid problems with the power-on spike at the output.

I'd been using it as a backup when I had to send in my Rigol DP832 for a failed control board. I used this unit for almost the entirety of a quick turnaround project, and it never did anything unexpected. No weird pulsing on on/off at the outputs, so that appears to have been fixed. Power button felt/feels solid, but the transformer still has a bit of inrush buzz on startup. I left it running for 4 hours at max power to see if anything odd happened. Not a peep. I thought I'd be giving it to a colleague when I got my DP832 back, but this PSU's small size and performance means it'll be going into the mobile toolbox instead :P

Works very well as a hobbyist bench power supply. The build is durable and strong, and size/form factor is convenient for those with limited bench space compared to a full size unit. Voltage and current measurements tested as accurate, which is really the most important thing. The controls are decent, but not excellent, but again, it is an accurate, low-cost power supply. It does exactly what it is supposed to do and it’s a solid value for the price.

I'm just using this for hobby purposes at home but it works great. I've used some high grade power supplies so when I say this is a nice supply I have some experience. Now this is a low cost supply and I was concerned it might be a waste of money. So I connected a Tektronix scope to evaluate the output voltage. This is a linear power supply so the output voltage was very clean. I also checked for spikes when the output was switched on and off with and without a load and no spikes were seen. The current control and voltage control worked very well. The ability to connect this to your test circuit, setup the voltage and current and then turn the supply output on is a feature not even found on some high end supplies. The only issue I had was the power cord connection on this supply seemed a little lose to me. I would recommend this to the electrical/electronic hobbyist.

Great power supply. A little of the high size of pricing but unlike the less expensive models that will tap out of the correct voltage after 10 or minutes of run time, this just keeps on going.

Mas de un año despues, todavía la tengo y sigue completamente funcional, tal vez lo unico que haga es ponerle un ventilador mas grande, pero por la calidad de la fuente, estoy completamente satisfecho

I reduced one start, because the provided image did not match the one i received. yes it has the same model number, but the display panel does not have watts digits like in the image, when i googled the same image i did not see it in the Korad official website, however some people in youtube have it with slight change in model name by adding "s" letter e.g. KA3005DS. Also the box did not include test leads as stated in item description, luckily i have lots from my previous devices. overall the item i received still great regardless of the missing parts with different display panel. It just serves the purpose...thanks

Bought it a year ago and it's been working great with no complaints or concerns. Turns on every time and does what I need it to. Controls are quick and convenient and the output toggle is awesome so you're not removing/replacing leads every time you need to adjust the power supply. These seem to be the most noticeable things you lose out on when you buy a cheaper bench supply, but aren't a concern here. When I was researching the purchase I was concerned by how many people seemed to be complaining about fan noise... I used it for a weeks-long stint as a power supply for a ham radio and the fan is probably the most inoffensive noise I can imagine. The only part of calling it "a little loud" that's accurate is the "little" part. For the hobbyist or prosumer, I think this is exactly the right price point to balance quality/features and cost. Don't go any cheaper. If you're feeling rich, grab a used HP/Keysight unit for about twice the price.

I received the item in good condition. The packaging was secure, and the product matches the description. The quality looks good, and everything seems to be working properly. Delivery was smooth, and I am satisfied with the overall shopping experience. I would consider buying from this seller again.

Llegó antes de lo esperado, funciona perfectamente,
