A great, easy to install bidet seat for your toilet!
I thought I might be a bit insane for spending this much on a toilet seat, but it has been totally worth it. There are much cheaper models out there, but I already had a Kohler Highline Classic toilet (in white) that I really like, so I figured another Kohler product on top of that would be a good decision. The reviews were good, the price was high (but no where near the MSRP thankfully), but it worked out. Installation was pretty simple as far as attachment to the toilet. Their recommended placement of the electrical outlet seems odd based on how long the power cord is. It would have been a lot more work to put my outlet on the left side, but thankfully I did not have to. The cord was more than long enough to reach under the bowl, over to the right side. I was able to extend power from a convenience outlet almost directly above. If it had been placed on the left, I don't know what I would have done with all the excess cord. I think my install looks very clean and professional. The remote control looks very nice, but the wall mount mechanism seems very loose. The part attached to the wall is secure, but when you slide the dock down on it, there is too much play. There is nothing you can do about it really. I would have preferred through-holes and some caps to cover the screws. It does appear to come with a bracket for use on ceramic walls, but there is no mention of how to use it in the manual. Speaking of the manuals, they are sufficient, but I think the user's guide could be a bit more explanatory on some of the functions, like how the deodorizer works. The dryer function is an exercise for the patient. Don't expect it to have your bum ready for your underpants any time soon. So far the pulsate and oscillate functions have not "missed" anything, so I am down to just a couple of squares of TP to dry off. This should extend my existing stock of TP many times over. It is nice to get off the toilet and feel clean. Really clean. That alone is worth the price of admission. All the parts look and feel of good quality, so I hope this lasts. There is a chart on the Kohler website that will tell you how they expect the fit and finish to look on their various models of toilets. Mine had only 2 dots (3 is perfect, 1 is not good), which means it will fit fine, but not really match the style of my Highline Classic. I think it looks fine.

Best I could find
Let's talk about service! Ordered on Monday, arrived Tuesday and functional within 15 minutes! Wow! Now the important stuff - features. If you are like me, you like to read everything you can on your tech stuff. The Kohler website and other info was a little vague, so I want to clear some things up here. For background, I recently got back from an Asia trip where I had the pleasure of interacting with the most intelligent Toto bidet/toilet I have ever met. This thing could sense proximity. As you approached, it lightly illuminated, opened the lip automatically, and when you were done it flushed itself!! This Kohler does none of these things, but it a fine machine in its own right. Love - The pressure is good and the water is never cold. The warm seat is VERY nice. The controller is a necessity in my opinion. Don't even bother with the other models that have buttons off to the side. What I don't like - That damn blue light. The light is a UV sanitizing light that doubles as a night light. Er. Check that - Keeps you from sleeping. It is always ON. You can not turn it off. There is no proximity sensing or other smarts here. If it is dark, the light will come on. I have this unit in my master bathroom. The light is intense enough to peek between the seat and lid and is actually quite annoying if you are a fan of pitch black at night. I have other lights that are on motion sensors to see my walkway at night, but this thing is bright enough that I would likely not need them. While I have gotten more used to the blue light in the past few weeks, I still often am forced to shut the door at night so that it does not keep me from sleeping. Big factor for aggravation. Everything else is as expected and simply a pleasure to use.

Works Well and Fits Our 1.6 gpf Kohler K3466 San Raphael One-Piece Toilet !
Wife wanted a bidet seat for several years. Each time I researched, I was scared off by the price. Finally convinced it was time, I was really challenged to find a seat that would fit our Kohler, San Raphael, one-piece toilet. Even Kohler support said they didn't have one to fit. But, one of the Kohler, on-the-phone salesmen, Lucas, sent me a follow-up email with a Kohler, 1.6 gpf, San Raphael cut sheet that recommended the K-4108 (PureWash E750 - which is the new name for the old Kohler C3 230) Elongated bidet toilet seat. At almost $900, (we have a biscuit-colored toilet and chose the more expensive, biscuit colored seat to match), it was a hard bullet to bite but I ordered it. Showed up 3 days later. Took the original seat off and set the new bidet seat on the toilet and it fit !!! Only took about 20 minutes to fully install, adjust, and plumb but it fit and no leaks. Now, getting it to work was a separate challenge. Plugged it in and installed 4 AA batteries in the remote base. When I pushed on the buttons on the seat, the lights came on but nothing happened inside the toilet. Reread the instructions, pushed the buttons again, attempted to link the remote, but still nothing like I expected. Unplugged for 30 minutes, plugged back in, tried everything again and still no expected response. (The seat would trickle water like it was cleaning the wand and then nothing. Occasionally I would push the fan button, and the wand would come out and spray until I pushed stop. The deodorize button did work reliably.) Sat down on the seat, tried everything again, same results. Discouraged and it being a Friday evening, I just left it alone, plugged in, figuring to call Kohler support Monday morning. Woke Monday morning and the wife told me that she had successfully used the bidet seat Sunday night. All buttons worked properly on both the seat and the remote. I tried it that morning with the same, successful results. I guess it just needed to sit there and think about things for a while - but more likely, the remote needed more time to fully charge off the batteries. Bottom line, if you have a Kohler, 1.6 gpf, one-piece, K-3466, San Raphael toilet, this K-4108 Bidet seat fit and works for us. Best as I can tell, it is the ONLY bidet seat that will fit this toilet - and I checked with several on-line bidet shops - in addition to Kohler. I'll try to submit a follow-up in about 6 months.

Great bidet seat! UPDATE: Reliable too!
Aside of some confusing things in the installation instructions the unit has so far worked perfectly. I would only advise Kohler to improve the instructions, and also improve the ease with which the unit slides onto the mounting bracket after being attached to the toilet. This is an UPDATE to my original review: I have had this seat FOR 5 YEARS, and it is still working. Overall I can say that this is a quality product. I personally don't have the criticisms that other people here have. My wife and I are perfectly able to see the panel on the side when we sit down to do our business. But we're both in good shape. We tend to not use the remote that much, but we think the remote is well built. The fan noise does not bother us that much either, it is not as loud as some people say it is. But our toilet does not face our bed. The light at night works like a nightlight. If you leave the toilet seat open it can bother you if your toilet is too close to your bed, but ours is in a separate room. I feel the controls are very nice quality, easy to understand and visible on both the remote and the side panel. Again, all working after 5 years. I really think it is a good product. About toilet fit: toilets come in many sizes (two main sizes, but there is a lot of variation within those two). So my advice is measure and pay attention to the size of the seat you're buying.

Having the blue LED night lights seems like a pretty good idea
Update: Kohler says my storbe light bidet is functioning normally. It is supposed to do this for several hours every night. It is "sanitizing the wand" they said. Really? How can that be when the wand is retracted? If it's supposed to do this then it is an awful, terrible design. If not, then the service tech was a liar. Either way it is vastly inferior to my old Uspa bidet seat that cost half as much. Don't wast your money unless you like disco strobes in your bathroom and master bedroom every night for hours. It works, but not all of it. The user one and two profiles on the remote never work. I have tried numerous times to program the settings of these two buttons using the poorly written manual, which provides conflicting instructions on how to program the presets. No luck. The two buttons simply do not work, or the programming instructions are just plain wrong. Having the blue LED night lights seems like a pretty good idea. It would be if they worked as described. They are activated by a photocell located on the underside of the operating console on the right side of the seat. The photocell function erratic so that if it is lit and you lift the seat to pee like a man, the light goes out. Several times the LEDS have started flashing like a strobe light in the middle of the night, and nothing short of unplugging the seat will stop them. On the plus side the bidet functions as advertised, and the seat stays warm. I can live without the two user preset buttons, but the blue strobe lights in the night are an issue. It's no fun to get out of bed at 3am to pee and open the bathroom door to these blinding strobe lights.

Once you use you will always want.
Have had this bidet seat now for two plus years and would buy again without any hesitation. Just spend two months in Europe sampling different bidets along the way and none compared to this one. Well worth the money. Not I do not as a rule write reviews unless something is really good or really bad. This bidet seat is really good.

Flawed heat
Would be 5 start except the heat controls on the water and especially the air are unforgiving. With the air itโs either barely warm or heat gun. The water is slightly better than that. Otherwise hook up was easy, install directions are clear.

Especially important for those who spend time in the restroom
After my diagnosis of Ulcerative Colitis, I quickly realized that a huge part of my day is spent in the restroom during flare ups. During the worst of it, a shower became necessary afterwards. The idea of a bidet is nice, but choosing one is a nightmare. Will it support my weight? Does it do enough to merit the very high price tag? Is it more than a gimmick that I will actually want to use? I read every article I could find before picking this one. It checks all the boxes, and even has a convenient remote that wonโt be a chore to operate while Iโm sitting. The temperature options are great. The fit is pretty good to my existing toilet. I hated the installation due to one component being metal and needing to be threaded to an old plastic part. Dozens of cross threadings led to lots of cursing before I got it right. I love the choices that I can have at the tap of a finger.

Overall great product. Stop living like a savage!
Works very well, pleased with this product. Installation was simple. Measured electrical draw for instant hot water was 12 amps for about 2 seconds before dropping, so a dedicated 15 amp circuit as recommended by the installation manual is required. Water temp is perfect, never a starting cold spurt. Jet pressure is completely suitable for the cleaning task. If you are looking for an enema function, you may be disappointed. The only negative we found was that the flashing night light during the sanitization process can be intrusive if you forget to close the bathroom door.

Missing Parts !!
Toilet seat arrived but missing parts so was only able to partially install. Thankfully, when I contacted Kohler, they responded quickly and are sending them. The most annoying part which didn't arrive was the "INSTALLATION SCREW ATTACHMENT" that's used to mount the seat to the toilet. Macgyver'd parts from prior seat for now until the proper parts arrive. Other than this it seems to fit well on a Kohler Highline.
