Brilliant at first but not so a few days later

I have always struggle to cut runner beans nicely in thin strips, so thought I would try a gadget made for the job. Previous ones have not been successful but saw this one at a good price and thought I would give it a go. What a smashing little gadget this was fab at doing the job. Blades are nice and sharp and the beans pull through easily. Success. Will be recommending to friends and family

So sharp and easy to use. I have been using one of the French style ones before and never getting on with it. No idea why there was a weird sprung arm that made it impossible to pull or push the bean through without destroying it. The only thing with this one is that it comes apart easily. You need to wash the bits of bean out from between the blades before they get dry, otherwise it's very hard to wash. I thought it would be a good idea to take the top of red plastic casing off, rather than risk cutting my fingers. Unfortunately, all the little blades came out and it was fiddly getting everything back in. Plus I must have put them in back to front because the sharp side is on the wrong side of the bladed section. Oops. Still works beautifully though, just don't be an idiot like me.

Very good works well. Only down side is it is a bit small for larger beans

This is a simple and very effective way of producing perfect sliced beans. The blades are sharp and cut the beans cleanly, but are sufficiently far inside the casing to be pretty safe to use.
