Johnson Hardware Sliding Door/Pocket Door Hanger Ball Bearing 1125-1 Inch Wheel, 200 lb Capacity

I'm remodeling my house that way made in 1947. It has 3 pocket doors and the wood on them i beautiful so replacing them wasn't a option. I decided to use all Johnson products. I bought the railway and this wheel package. This setup is top notch and 10 times better than what it replaced. It is so smooth and slides so easy. It requires no effort to open and close. It was so easy to open and close I made cutouts to insert 1in felt circles in the end of the doors so you dont hear them bang any more. If you are debating as to if its worth spending the money or the quality I will tell you without a doubt it is worth it. If you want a top quality product that is going to last a long time, easy to install due to this innovative latch design and are not looking for some budget quick fix . I would buy Johnson. This is the best product for pocket doors out there. I bought it, installed it, and now I just enjoy them.

I have a pocket door for my bathroom and needed to replace an old ball bearing that my contractor brought from Home Cheapo. The last one was causing the door not to slide well and made the door not lined up with the lock. Took me a few hours to replace it after watching some YouTube videos on how to replace it without knocking down walls. I'm glad I got it replaced. Now I can lock my bathroom door and it slides so well. I actually have to be extra careful now because it could cause the door to close too hard. Sure, it cost more than the one you get from Home Depot, but this is one of those things you don't want to cheap out on because replacing it down the road is such a headache. Get this quality one and should last you a really long time.

I originally purchased a knock off brand with nylon rollers as replacement for a single pocket door. While the knock off rollers appeared to be the same as the worn out Johnson rollers (28 years old) they did not work well (wheels did not turn freely when under load). I spoke with a rep from Johnson who was very helpful. He said the knock off rollers were the problem and suggested I purchase the Johnson rollers. I took his advice and purchased the Johnson rollers with ball bearings. They were easy to install in my existing track. They are rated for a much heavier door (200 lbs). The door now slides with the push of a finger. Great customer and technical service from Johnson and my purchase supported Made in USA!

We wish we could have used these rollers as they seem extremely well made. The issue was they were too large for our roller track and required a Johnson track. Installing a new track would require removing a wall. That’s more than we want to do!

I bought these wheels because the ones that came with my LE Johnson pocket door rail system didn't have ball bearing wheels, it had a cheaper set of wheels that didn't have ball bearings. These wheels were very easy to install and have convenient adjusters so you can adjust your door so it closes properly. The ball bearings really make these wheels slide like butter, even with the heavy glass and wood pocket door I have. These pocket door wheels are quality made in the U.S.A. with quality materials. With the LE Johnson heavy duty rail system, these wheels will never slip off of the track like my old flimsy rail system and cheapo wheels did. These heavy duty wheels look like they will last a very long time...most likely I will never have to replace them.

As other reviewers have already stated, the ball bearing version of Johnson sliding door hanger trolley is a great upgrade to the "standard" plain nylon wheel version. I wanted to hang a solid-core 32" door with a mirror, with a total weight of approximately 115 pounds. The standard Johnson kit trolley is spec'd to hold 125 lbs, but I hate pushing those limits, especially because hanging and servicing that heavy door is a real pain to do without a helper. I originally hung the door with the standard trolley, while waiting for the ball bearing version to arrive. The improved operation is remarkable. It takes very little effort to slide that 115 pound baby open or closed. Also, another benefit of the upgrade is that the hanger mount -- the part that you screw onto the top of the door slab -- has a steel locking tab instead of the flimsy nylon one. I have another pocket door -- 36-inch hollow core -- with the nylon trolleys. Now, I plan to replace those unit with the ball bearing version. In my area, no hardware store stock the ball bearing versions. Stores that sell the Johnson kits only have the standard kits with the standard "no ball" bearings. When I do future sliding or pocket door installations, I will use only the ball bearing trolleys and try to purchase a track and trolley kit with those, or try to purchase the track and trolleys separately. As another reviewer has already warned us, you need to order two of this bearing kits per door. That's good advice, because it's not obvious but is surprising. If these things are going to fail, you will probably want to replace both at the same time, and if you don't have two of these for a new installation, you won't have much luck in hanging a single slab without some clever balancing act.

Bought to replace stock plastic bearing wheels in Johnson pocket doors that wear down over a few years. These do seem more solid and are smooth. Only time will tell though. Did take a long time to be delivered. I am otherwise happy with them and would buy again.

used these to upgrade my pocket doors that had the standard nylon wheeled rollers without bearings - so much smoother. Being based in the UK, I initially struggled to find these - Johnson were very helpful and provided me with the details of their UK stockist, but I had already ordered these from the USA via Amazon. They arrived within a few days and cost more or less the same, even with postage and customs duties, that I would have paid to order them from the UK stockist. Overall, very happy with this purchase
