Smooth Flavor, Great Quality
I’ve been really impressed with Terra Creta olive oil. It has a smooth, fresh taste with a nice balance of fruity and slightly peppery notes. I've been using it for all my cooking needs as well as on my salads and breads. The flavor is high quality without being overpowering. This is now my favorite Olive oil and elevates everyday meals.

Thank You, Athena!!!!
In some ways, I really am spoiled. I realize that as a former educator, living on a former educator's salary, this statement might seem odd. However, I'm absolutely serious and this olive oil helps to prove my point. Enter Terra Creta Olive Oil. As we all know, olive oil was a gift to the Greeks, courtesy of the goddess Athena. It is olive oil that largely built the ancient Greek economy and thus promulgated Greek culture through the ancient world by means of economic exchange. That exchange was fostered by the highly prized olive oil that was acknowledged as the world's best. To this day, Greece is fiercely protective of the reputation of its olive oil--and rightly so. In its pure, unadulterated form, it is a glorious addition to your kitchen's staples, adding flavor, polish and nutrition to a wide array of dishes. Unfortunately, if you don't live in Greece--or in the EU--your olive oil is probably NOT unadulterated in some form. In the EU, Greek olive oil is protected by strict labeling and production laws so that the consumer can be assured of getting an authentic product, and thus an authentic experience. Here in the States, there are no such nation-wide laws, so the olive oil we get--even the extra virgin--is adulterated by other oils, or at least a pastiche of different regions, producers, etc., who are committed to driving down costs more than they are to producing excellent oils. The Terra Creta is an emphatic disavowal of this practice. It is an estate-produced oil created under exacting, heavily monitored conditions, with each can getting a unique label (see picture above), which functions as a birth certificate, more or less, so that you can practically trace the moment it was harvested. All of this effort reaps rewards for the consumer. This oil is a revelation compared to the pathetic stuff that you get at the average supermarket. It's vivid, earthy and fills the mouth with subtle notes that lean more towards the fruity end (at least in my experience; some have said it comes across as a bit more on the peppery side). In any case, it is truly excellent for dipping bread, making salad, making garlic butter, or anything that requires a moderate base note and delicate upper notes of olive flavor. As for the cost, you look at the price of the tin and think, "wow, that's a bit excessive." You'd be wrong. Look at how much you get and then figure a per-ounce cost vs. the "extra virgin" you get at the supermarket. Then, think about how what you eat becomes a part of you. Then, think about how short life is and how we should seize those beautiful pleasures that are within our reach while we can. Does it seem expensive now?

Great flavor.
Great olive oil. We’ve been using it for a few years. We were visiting Crete last year and realized Terra Creta was close to our Airbnb. We stopped by and bought their Grand Cru, “high art” oil which was beyond compare. I wish they would sell garlic-infused oil on Amazon. We brought a bottle back home and it was finished within weeks.

Great for salads and cooking.
This is a single variety olive oil from Crete. This is the Mediterranean diet you read about in the news. Years ago I use to import the very variety of olive oil. Terra Creta and ABEA are the two main pressers of olives on the island of Crete and they have been gathering olives from the locals for decades and selling this as I believe to be the best all around olive oil you can buy. I am not here to say this is the best oil you can buy but rather this is the best oil you can buy that you can cook with and put on your salad. It's the Swiss Army knife of olive oils. I've had top of the line local Moroccan hand pressed oils that taste like heaven, but you wouldn't dare cook with it and I have deep fried turkeys with Pomace oil from Crete but I would never use that on my salad. This Koroneiki variety olive oil is the best of both worlds. The rating of this would be higher but people tend to rate on not only the product but also of things out of control of the shippers like abuse from the mail carriers. Ignore these ratings, and buy this oil. Dented can or not the oil is superb.

Good value
I respect the operation & think it’s a perfectly fine olive oil but it’s not knocking my socks off. I use it both for cooking & finishing. I guess I was expecting more based on rave reviews. Color is light green& doesn’t have much of a smell. I’m irritated that I only just got this recently and best by date is TODAY! I did enjoy it a little more for today’s lunch (St Agur blue cheese, drum loaf bread, & Nicoise olives) but was it the oil, or just the way it went with the other items? It’s fine, but maybe it would be even better if I had received a newer harvest? I don’t know because next time I’ll be looking for something fruitier, greener, &/or grassier. Having said that, it’s a solid olive oil.

Good flavor. *Updated*
I love a good EVOO, and I especially love one that has a good bite. I was fortunate for a long time to have access to a local olive oil importer and packager. They sadly went out of business due to supply chain issues during COVID. Their source was a family-owned orchard in Greece. I loved that oil for its strong bitter kick, of which many others fall short. When I set out to find a new source I learned of the Koroneiki variety. This is the same stuff, with the same bold flavor. As with another commenter, the oil I received was unfortunately kicking around the supply chain for an extra year, so not as fresh as it could be. Oh well. *Update* With respect to the expiration date, I've since noticed an olive oil container (not this one) that had both "best by" and "packaged on" dates, which were less than a year apart. This is to say, just because this EVOO has an expiration date in the next several months doesn't mean it's already a year old. There's no way to know without missing context. To any manufacturers paying attention: please put production dates on your products. It's much more useful than an expiration date.

THE VERY BEST EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL EVER
THE VERY VERY BEST EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL I HAVE EVER TASTED... AND I HAVE BEEN CONSUMING EVOO FOR OVER 45 YEARS... AND THIS IS AWESOME...SO GOOD...SWEET...FRESH...NEVER BITTER LIKE MOST EVOO OUT IN THE MARKET PLACE.... THE PROBLEM IS THAT CONSUMERS ARE NOT EDUCATED IN THE FACTS OF THIS PRODUCT...IT WOULD BE WONDERFUL IF ELLORA...THE SMALL WONDERFUL COMPANY WHO SELLS AND PRODUCES THIS EVOO... WOULD CREATE A YOUTUBE VIDEO AND REALLY EXPLAIN AND ENLIGHTEN THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL THAT IS PRODUCED AT THEIR 3000 YEAR OLD OLIVE GROWING ESTATE FARMS..IN CRETE... I AM ALWAYS RECOMMENDING THIS OIL AND EXPLAINING TO FRIENDS ABOUT COLD EXTRACTION AS OPPOSED TO COLD PRESSING...AS WELL AS SINGLE SOURCE....AS WELL AS THE IMPORTANCE OF PURCHASING EVOO IN A CAN/TIN...WHICH KEEPS OUT ALL LIGHT..THUS KEEPING THE OIL FRESH AND A BRIGHT GREEN...AS OPPOSED TO BUYING EVOO IN BOTTLES WHICH HAVE BEEN SITTING IN SUPERMARKET SHELVES FOR WHO KNOWS HOW LONG...RENDERING THE EVOO RANCID AND UNHEALTHY...AS WELL AS BECOMING BITTER THEY DO NOT KNOW THAT THE ONLY GOOD EVOO IS SINGLE ORIGIN...AND COMES IN A TIN... TO KEEP IT FRESH AND WAY FROM LIGHT EXPOSURE ALSO THE FACT THAT THE CRETE EVOO HAS BEEN PRODUCED FOR OVER 3000 YEARS...MOST PEOPLE JUST DO NOT KNOW BETTER... ESPECIALLY THESE DAYS WHEN THERE ARE SO MANY FAKE MIXED OLIVE OILS.. FROM ALL DIFFERENT COUNTRIES...WITH DIFFERENT FRESHNESS...TASTE TERRIBLE AND NOW IN ITALY THE MAFIA IS GETTING INVOLVED IN THE ITALIAN OLIVE INDUSTRY... SO THIS IS PREMIUM AND SOOOO VERY GOOD... I JUST GAVE THIS AS A GIFT TO A GOOD FRIEND AND I AM ABOUT ORDER SOME FOR MYSELF... I LOVE THIS OLIVE OIL SO VERY GOOD , I WOULD LIKE TO BUY HUNDREDS OF CANS TO STOCK UP FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE..... FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.... OIL INDUSTRY
