Probably work better for thinner hair
Delivered pretty quick. Probably need more rods for thicker hair but if you have thinner hair without texture would probably work better. Decent for price point. Noticed had a funny smell when first out of the package and after using a couple times and trying to hand wash gently the smell still won’t go away

I think it worked.....
I have long, fine hair with lots of baby hair growth (ie, "wispy"). My hair is about 3-4" past my shoulders so not super long. I've never tried heatless curls but have wanted to do so for quite some time. I just couldn't seem to find any that were highly rated and uncomplicated. My hairdresser said that I only needed about 4 curlers for my hair so I didn't want to "over buy" either. I found these Overnight Blowout Rods on Amazon and they seemed to be a fair price so I pulled the trigger and bought them. They arrived yesterday. Since I freshly washed my hair in the morning and blow dried it, I thought I might as well try the new rods overnight and see what happens. Here are my thoughts: a) These are a b*tch to snap on. Rolling my hair around the rods isn't the problem; the foamy material seems to grip my hair properly but clasping the hook and eye closure was DIFFICULT. My hands literally cramped up in trying to do so. Maybe it was just me since this is my first ever try at heatless curlers, but I hope I get better at this over time. b) Four rods was indeed enough for my hair. but my hair isn't thick. I also think if my hair was thicker, these rods would stay put better. I sprayed each section very lightly with Redken One United all-purpose spray before rolling. c) I put one rod on the top of my head, one towards the top/back, and one on each side. I needed lots of bobby pins to secure the side ones from falliing. d) The set comes with a silky head scarf. I placed that on my head over the rollers and tied it in the back. I needs 5 or 6 hair clips to secure it in place also, but it seemed to stay put overnight and kept my rollers in place, sort of. e) In the morning, the left roller had fallen a bit but the rest stayed in place. I took them out and my hair had curl. However, it WAS NOT picture perfect. It kinda looked a bit wild and there was a couple of sections that hardly curled at all (maybe the hair fell out of the roller?) I brushed out my hair and an hour or two later looked in the mirror and it's "passable," meaning that if I got fully dressed with makeup then it would just look like I had a day old hairstyle from curling it with an iron the day before. Not terrific, but not bad either. At least my hair isn't straight and has curl and body to it. The curls are big, soft, and natural looking, though, which I like. Forgot to mention though that my hair curls fairly easily so maybe that's why I got a decent amount of curl overnight. So here's my notes and recommendations: 1) Your hair will probably do better with these rods if it's thick and long. They will still work on your hair if it's thinner but expect to use bobby pins to secure these in place. 2) The rods are still difficult to hook together so be patient if you go with these. This actually might be a deal breaker for some people. 3) These are not the most comfortable to sleep in. I found I got neck pain in the morning from the odd positions that I had to place my head while sleeping to not disrupt the curlers. I recommend placing the rods as high up on your head as possible if you're a side sleeper like me. If you're a back sleeper, then you may need to push these rods out to the sides or top more. You'll have to work with them to figure out the most comfortable placement as these rods are stiff and not comfortable to lay on. 4) If you spritz your hair with product like I did, spray very very lightly and make sure you use something that smells good. In the morning, one of my hair sections felt cold, but dry, almost like it just barely dried overnight. And my hair smells very strongly of the product I used. It's a nice smell so I don't mind but if it wasn't, I would be very bothered by now. 5) When you close the rods together to clasp it, make sure to FOLD the rod, not try to bend it like a donut. Folding it will ensure that the hair is held together between the rod. If you try to bend it like a donut, then the hair will fall out. Because of that, try to wrap the hair around the rod to one side (off-center) or else you won't be able to fold the rod in half. The tendency is to want to wrap the hair around the center of the rod. If you do that, you won't be able to fold the rod in half. 6) Wrapping the scarf around my head for sleeping really helped, but next time I may wrap it differently. I wrapped it from the top of my head down and tied it at the back of my neck. Next time, I will try wrapping it from the bottom up and tying it at the top of my head. That might be more secure and use less bobby pins. 7) The reason I bought these rods and didn't use the soft "horseshoe style" that is one long fabric rod goes over your head is because my hairdresser said those types will leave a "bald spot" on the back of my head where the hair isn't curled, plus my hair isn't long enough and is too wispy to wrap at the top of my head. She recommended something with 4 separate rods for my hair so i went with these, just so you know why i chose them. 8) Lastly, these rods come in 3 or 4 different colors. I bought the brown ones but TBH, any color will do. You're not going to the nightclub or to a new year's eve party wearing these, so it doesn't matter what color is in your hair, IMO. So I recommend just choosing whichever color is cheapest.. Who cares if they match your haircolor or not!

Good product
Easy to use and gives you a blow out look. The only thing I didn’t like was the hook, if your hair is not wrap tightly it will tug at your hair.
