Simple Light-Hearted Competition for Various Quantities of People
We are seniors (50+) and have dinner and game night most every Friday night with friends. We like to end the night playing Codenames because it lightens the mood after playing other competitive games, and it's always so much fun; it gets us laughing non-stop. We typically play boys against girls. You learn a lot about how people think when playing this game! It is super easy to learn how to play and doesn't take long at all. We really like this extra-large version because it is easy to read the words from across the table. We also have Codenames Pictures and sometimes mix the words with the pictures to change things up. The cards are durable, and there is an ample supply provided to get a different combination each gameplay. The game is great to get you thinking outside of the box, and can be played with basically any number of people divided into two teams. NOTE: In the picture, the timer that comes with the game is at the corner of the box. We were using a kitchen timer that night so that we could hear the "bing" when time was up.

Great game
Always looking for that game everyone can play and is totally enjoyable yet challenging. This a great game for family or game-night with friends. Love the large size and the concept. The clues change when playing with family, we played with children as young as 9 year old, and we played with visiting adult friends; the clues given become more complicated. Its hilarious and had everyone laughing and requesting the game on later visits. Can't do better than that.

Great game, bigger than the original.
This is a great party game that provokes lively discussions. This version has larger cards than the original. I don’t think they are XXL. I think that they are just right.

My favorite "get together" game. Great for when you have 4 or more.
Logged many hours playing this. Easy to set up, easy to learn.. fun gameplay... makes you think. The clues come in two parts, a single word and a number. The number is how many cards pertain to the clue. It's most interesting when the clue giver is trying to match multiple cards to a clue. Even better when some of the "match" cards are a stretch. Oh, the XXL version contains bigger cards that are easier to read. (worth it)

Excellent Game for Parties big and small
The best version of the best party game. Larger cards are a must for bigger groups, which is the best way to play the game. Highly recommended, highly regarded.

Fun game - very large cards
I had thought the cards in the original Code Names were too small, especially if you play with more than 4 people on a larger table. In this version, the cards are large -- larger than a traditional playing card deck card. They're almost a too big because they take a lot of table space. However, it is much easier to read than the small cards.

EASY TO READ
I had the original bought for Christmas, and my in-laws loved it, but forever couldn’t read the cards when placed on the table. The cards here are 4 times the size, and very easy to read. Good for small kids, and old kids alike.

A great unique game
An amazing addition for the board game pile! The XXL size is perfect for at home and will purchase the normal addition to play when travelling. It is that type of game that is enjoyable still after multiple times and although it is recommended for 4+ players, I think the game works really well with just two.

Gioco arrivato usato
La scatola non era chiusa, le cartelle erano già staccate e la scatola all’interna era sporca!
