Parker Jotter London Duo Discovery Pack | with Ballpoint Pen (Royal Blue) & Gel Pen (Stainless Steel)

You just can’t beat a proper Parker pen! Smooth inks, lovely to write with. Absolutely love the gel pen. It’s been a long time since I’ve had one though and I feel that they are not quite as weighty as they used to be. But that might just be fanciful thinking on my part. Great to improve writing style too.

I love Parker pens and I have been using them for years now, when these pens arrived they didn’t fail to impress me. If you are one of those who doesn’t link quick Flo or gel pens then this can easily be fixed by replacing the pen refills.

The first thing the review asks us is.. is it giftable? In my honest opinion, no. Whilst Parker pens are, often debatable, at the top of their game in the pen industry I wouldn't say these two would be a great gift. The package it comes in is very simplistic, no case or anything and the pens are quite standard. Comfort wise, they are incredibly comfortable pens to use. Their solid smooth body means that I'm left with no odd grooves in my fingers after a long days writing and they are an attractive pair. They are very easy to scratch. In fact I've only had them a few months and a few knocks across the desk have left them with tiny hair scratches on their lovely coloured segments. Value I'm a bit on the see saw between "oof thats a wee bit steep" and "decent quality for decent price". While there is probably far cheaper pens on Amazon, I did want to buy a parker pen for my first job in an office as a little treat. My gran had a parker pen, my mum did too.. so it was a little me thing. So if you want it for nostalgia, absolutely go ahead. But otherwise.. the ballpoint pen writes smooth, decent quality ink and replaceable. The blue ink pen.. eh is a bit stop and start at times but that tends to happen with gel pens. So when I go to reach for a pen for signing documents.. its most likely the red ballpoint. But overall its a good pen set. Worth £18? Maybe debatable.

I bought the set for my daughter to use with her university work. They’re studier than an average biro, and she has had trouble with the balance and feel of others before. Good value, good quality and buying refills is better than burning through lots of cheaper plastic pens. Recommended.

Having worked in stationary and been a Parker sales assistant, these are the best pens ever. Smooth writing for the ballpoint and gel pen feels like flying on the paper. Love them!

I bought this as a present for someone who constantly complained about cheap biros and how they broke or looked inconsistent. Parker have a good reputation and at £20+ for 2 pens I thought it would be a nice step up and a perfect extra gift. The pens themselves seem good, haven't had much feedback yet, but they are metal on the outside and refillable and looked good. Where this product really lets itself down is how it is presented. The pens that were sent to me were packaged in a very poor quality and wrinkled cardboard and plastic wrap. Didn't look at all special and was really disappointing! Honestly looked like a cheap £5 set of pens you might have picked up in the supermarket. didn't look anywhere near as professional as it was made out to be on the Amazon add. Didn't have time to return or order a different set,and I had ordered a refill set as well so I tore them out of the packaging and put them with the refills and an nice(ish) pencil case TLDR: Good Pens, poorly presented- fine for individual use but wouldn't advise purchasing as a gift

Parker pens have always been a favourite of mine since my school days, but discovering the gel pen has given me new joy when it comes to writing. It’s so smooth and nice to use, I don’t think I can go back. These pens are quality products.
