Oregon Star 2.7mm Strimmer Line Heavy Duty, 2.7mm x 70m

Line recommended to me. Not disappointed as it lasts well.

This is a relatively expensive product, but because it is very tough it lasts much better per metre than the cheap alternatives.The long-lasting qualities make strimming much easier by enabling you to tackle denser and thicker foliage than is otherwise possible, and by reducing the need to feed new cord when doing lighter work to nearly nothing.The cord also appears to cut better, making it easier to sweep through the undergrowth and brambles etc than with more conventional products.

I purchased this strimmer chord after reading good reviews. I am pleased to say, that it is by far the best chord I have ever used by a country mile, was not expecting it to be so durable. Very happy with my purchase.

This is much stronger than conventional round-section strimmer lines. I use a Stihl FS-50 and this out-performs Stihl's own-brand line for strength, but that's only half the story. What you get is a strimmer that can tackle some jobs that would otherwise need a brush-cutter. The compromise is that the bump-feed does not work as well, but this is easily solved by lubricating the reel with silicone spray and by manually feeding the line (i.e. depress and rotate the bump feed by hand and then pull the lines to extend). This sounds like a pain, but the line rarely breaks, so I simply extend it every 10 minutes or so if I'm cutting tough stuff. It doesn't entirely replace the brush-cutter and of course, because it's so strong, it could hurt when it breaks. I think it essential than you have a helmet and face visor (not just goggles) and decent boots with this sort of line. If you like to strim wearing flip-flops and shorts, don't buy this!

Heavy duty strimmer cord, great for tougher weeds, used for Nettles, thistles and some bramble, used in a Stihl petrol FS45 strimmer and coped with some pretty thick weeds and long grass with too many issues. Proabbly good idea to soak the cord before using...

Very happy with this product

I bought this to tackle a mix of brambles, nettles and high grass threatening to choke an established hawthorn hedge in my garden. A 200ft area took about an hour to clear, with only 2 stops to free the line. A very good buy

Used up the old round line and replaced it with the 'star' profile Oregon line @ 2.7mm which is max for my machine. Cutting nettles and brambles this profile appears to cut cleanly and experience suggests it lasts 30% longer than standard line on a job by job comparison. Good value.

Rispetto al filo tondo classico, si percepisce subito la differenza nell’efficienza di taglio.• Ottima durabilità: Il nylon rinforzato con particelle di alluminio resiste molto bene all’usura. Anche in zone con terreno sassoso o vicino a muretti non si consuma facilmente né si spezza. Dura decisamente più a lungo di fili economici.• Buona flessibilità: Pur essendo robusto, mantiene un certo grado di elasticità, quindi non si spezza facilmente quando colpisce superfici dure.• Compatibilità universale: Nessun problema nell’installarlo su testine standard. Il diametro da 2,7 mm è perfetto per lavori intensivi sia in ambito domestico che semi-professionale.• Bobina abbondante (70 metri): Quantità più che sufficiente per coprire diversi cicli di lavoro. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.⚠️ CONTRO• Essendo più rigido e resistente, tende a produrre più vibrazioni rispetto ai fili morbidi, soprattutto su decespugliatori leggeri. Niente di problematico, ma va segnalato.• La confezione non ha un sistema di bloccaggio del filo: consiglio di usare una fascetta o elastico per evitare che si srotoli durante la conservazione.🌿 Conclusione:Un filo per decespugliatore di livello superiore, pensato per chi vuole risultati rapidi e puliti anche su vegetazione difficile. Robusto, affilato, durevole. Consigliatissimo per chi cerca qualità professionale a un prezzo accessibile.

I'm using a makita DUX60 with an EM404MP. mowing about 500m2 high grass, the original Makita trimmerline was used up for 90%. Ordered this Oregon Nylium 2.7mm wire and I am absolutely shocked. I redid my 500m2 garden a month later and I didn't have to extend the wire even once. It just keeps going without breaking off. This is far superior to the original Makita cord included with the trimmer attachment. Hitting walls, stones, trees and branches it didn't break off. i'm actually a little shocked.I compared quality and price for 2h on Amazon and Youtube and I think this is great a quality/price offering from Oregon. I'll order again if I actually ever have to, because I bought a 70m roll and at this rate it'll last me for years.

Slitstark eftersom det är inbakad metallspån i nylonet, även att tråden är 5 kantig skär den gräset bättre direkt. Rekommenderas!
