It's so nice to have a deodorant that doesn't smell like itself while you sweat, and then turn into a bitter BO smell.... like it genuinely doesn't stop smelling like you went to jail for 4 months and didn't shower. Over exaggeration, but my partner couldn't figure out why I was smelling so good, until he found where I'd been hiding it. He's one to roll the whole log out and apply it. I'm wayyyy more conservative, and prefer to gently circle a few times. It applies so smoothly, and from someone who has had experiences with itchy/burning underpits from bad deodorants/etc, this performs top tier. would definitely explore more scent options, or even the same one for myself, or my partner...if I get another one with a better scent. But, it's not a bad option. Worth the money, and goes on wet, and after a minute or so, i don't notice it anymore, the feeling. I can go the whole day, and be smelling just as fresh as when I first applied it. In fact, I feel it may even develop a more in-depth scent rather than expending itself and the BO saturates through again.

This is my third purchase of this natural deodorant. Because even in the HOT, HUMID hell that is the south, this keeps me funk-FREE! The Olibanum scent is my fave. Think amber-vanilla-citrus without smelling like lemon. It’s aluminum free, It has mandelic acid which helps with the bacteria from sweat that causes odor and it’s a creamy texture so very easy to use. I like the natural ingredients and the fact that it works at keeping sweaty smells away. I would say it’s VERY EFFECTIVE at keeping me smelling good.

I’ve tried a few natural deodorants over the years and this is the first one I genuinely love. I originally bought the eucalyptus scent (which I’m obsessed with), but recently tried Olibanum because of all the great reviews and now I love both. They smell clean and natural in the best way - kind of that elevated crunchy girl vibe without being overly earthy. It keeps me smelling good all day, never stains my clothes, and I love that the scent is noticeable without being overpowering. I also appreciate that it contains mandelic acid since I already use that in my skincare routine and it seems to help prevent ingrown hairs too. I have sensitive skin and have never had any irritation. Plus the packaging feels super luxe and sturdy. Just note it’s a deodorant, not an antiperspirant - perfect if you don’t sweat a ton and mainly want odor protection with clean ingredients.

Truly the most effective natural deodorant. The fragrance is phenomenal, frankincense softened by vanilla and a green fig, i wouldn’t call the vanilla prominent (i don’t want to smell like a 21 year old’s birthday cake and generally hate vanilla, so this is good news). It lasts all day even on super hot days and it easy to wash off and start fresh. The acid content is high enough here that i did have to start with every other day application, alternating with a weaker deo. It still irritates from time to time, at which point i take a day or two off, then resume. It can leave white marks if i don’t let it set all the way down and im wearing a tank top, but the marks are much more faint than with others. Having written this all out I’m realizing that the caveats are many, but worth it to me. And the packaging is so pretty.

Literally life changing. Works better than any other aluminum free deodorant and it works better than carpe and secret anti-perspirant. I hate the price but it’s worth it. Please never stop making this. I haven’t tried the other scents yet, but the olibanum is really nice. Slightly sweet, not overpowering. If you really want a powerhouse combo…get the Naturium Mendelic Acid Body Wash. Mandelic acid is the ingredient that makes both of these products work so well.

I figured I’d finally write a review since I rely on reviews myself so just trying to pay it forward. Necessaire deodorants are the only ones that work for me. I had to stop using drugstore years ago because I’m allergic and all the other natural ones either didn’t work or smelled weird and didn’t work. I was upset when they discontinued the type I used but they replaced it with these and this is even better. It’s soft and has a lovely fragrance (both Santal and Olibanum, I like them equally). It lasts all day and doesn’t leave any noticeable residue. I will never go without this. If you have sensitive underarms or are just trying to be more intentional with what you put in your body, get this.

THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE. I’m picky about deodorant. Most “clean” ones either quit by noon or smell like a yoga studio meltdown. Nécessaire The Deodorant Olibanum actually does the job and doesn’t make a scene. The scent is subtle, warm, and grown. Olibanum reads earthy and resinous, not perfumey, not medicinal, not trying too hard. It smells expensive in a quiet way. Like good skin, not fragrance. Formula-wise, it goes on smooth, no grit, no sticky weirdness, no white marks. It holds up through real life, stress, errands, heat, movement. I don’t find myself checking or reapplying like I do with most aluminum-free options. Bonus points for zero irritation. No burning, no itching, no post-shave regret. I also love the color of the packaging. Clean, effective, understated. Worth it.

Absolutely amazing. I have the most sensitive underarms, I’ve tried literally everything. This is the most effective, long-lasting, deliciously smelling deodorant I have ever used. 100/10!
