X1 PRO Basic Combo, 4K Action Flying Camera, Foldable Drone

So I was looking on amazon one day and I wanted to find a drone that was built well, was easy to use/operate nad had a really good camera. This is the drone that I decided to try out. This drone comes with a usb c to usb c charging cable, a charging block, 2 batteries, a charger for both batteries, a small bag for the drone and a large bag for the drone and accessories. The drone is small enough to fit easily in your hand when folded up. The drone was very easy to operate. I simply hold the power button for a brief period and the drone turns on. Afterwards, I can select the mode I want to work with whether it is hover, follow, birds eye view, orbit or even ski mode. Once I select the mode I prefer for my needs, I press the button once, allow the drone to rest on my hand and in a few seconds, the drone lifts off while maintaining focus on its target, the one you intend to photograph/record. The drone has an app that makes it easy to see what the drone is looking at, when to start/stop video and to help choose the best moments for that special photo. It’s a great photographer on the go. This is drone has a 4k camera which is great for capturing family memories, scenery or just high video in general. I am really impressed with how well the drone stabalizes itself to take great photo and video. Overall, this drone has a lot of value. So much to offer and I cant wait to utilize for family and business events. I look foward to using it. I suggest you give it a try as well.

I have been playing with different drones lately and wanted something a little bit more independent especially for creating great memories with my family. Since the unpacking this drone felt different, I was surprised by the compact product, the details and also the break test piece included, which I did try a lot to break it but without luck lol. Once I fully charged and downloaded the android app, the process to pair and connect was very easy. As soon as it was connected it automatically updated the firmware and than I was ready to use it. One more detail on the app is the classes it offers, for each flying mode you can watch detailed video with examples on what kind of video it will capture. Outdoor first flight was smooth and to be honest you can fully utilize the drone without even opening the app, with all the preloaded and customizable path settings. I was very surprised with the tracking on bike mode, I tested it in full daylight but also after dark, at around 8pm, under trees with very minimalistic light and it still performed like a charm. Solo flight with the app connection it went all the way to 100m, I wasn't trying to risk it to go further, especially because it was a bit windy. It handled the wind very great, ceystal clear image and also I like the audio recording as well. I will continue to enjoy it almost weekly moving forward and especially on holidays it will be the favorite gadget. I am still learning a lot on how to use drones and this one made it super easy for me. I need to purchase the next bundle with more batteries and the beacon, that I think is a must need for myself.

1. Poor internals (photo attached). 2. Quality of internal components not good, the indicator light not working and on checking and contacting the supplier, they indicated it must have been dislodged from impact for such a small internal component (I believe this should be part of a drones risks). The worst case is it can only be repaired in the US as they don't supply parts as I am in Kenya. Is the product ment for only the US Market?. The irony is they provide a plastic piece for one to try and break to show how strong the build is (if the internal connections/connections are poor its a waste of money @ $889). 3. Image stabilisation is good.

I started out with the X1 and then decided to upgrade to the Pro. The AI technology behind its ability to capture videos and photos or even follow you effortlessly is amazing. It’s definitely super user-friendly, making it perfect for beginners and experienced drone users. One of my favorite features is its portability. Thanks to the folding design, it’s easy to pack and travel with, so I can take it anywhere without any issues. The overall build quality, intelligent features, and ease of use make this drone standout compared to other. I would highly recommend the HoverAir X1Pro to anyone looking for a reliable, innovative, and fun way to capture moments while traveling. You no longer need to ask someone to take a phot of the entire family or do the one arm selfie lol.

What a complete waste of $500. The drone flew off course, got lost on the first day I used it, as I was riding a trail on my gravel bike Poof! $500 💸 gone on the first day of use. 🤬👎🏼 Above is my previous review about the drone. However, I forgot to update this review after HoverAir sent me a replacement, not once, but twice. Their customer service was absolutely amazing! They were completely understanding of my particular situation & went way above & beyond to help me out. The fact that the sent me two replacements after I lost two of their drones speaks volumes to their customer service. I have been using the third drone for a while now, & have not lost this one. 🤞🏼 My only wish is that the battery could be prolonged. Other than that, the drone is super cool!

My first drone was a DJI Phantom 2. I added a DJI Spark, sold the Phantom as it was too big, and grew tired of the fact that each time I pulled the Spark out to use, it needed an hour to update both the controller and the drone, so I gave it away. Flash forward, and I see drones capable of instant flight and no controller.. Looked at the Flip but spec and ease and PTSD on the spark sent me to the HoverAir 4k X1. For simple quick moments, it accomplishes this ... hike to a top of a hill and grab a selfie with it in slow motion orbit mode or perhaps good for solo riders wishing to track their bike ... BUT it took me 3 batteries (<30 mins) use to feel it is promising but still work in progress so a buyer has to really really want something specific this drone offers ... I wanted a vlog drone (take a walk, record my thoughts without the use of a controller AND the occasional ability to remote control for some drone landscape shots (orbit an oak tree)... so here's why it sent it back ... 1...battery life (<10 mins)... 2… ability in wind (see video attached in <6mph) made the concept of dolly videos useless for me ... 3... OOTB camera setting means you always have to go to the iPhone settings to change ISO and just starts to erode the barely before you even get started...4... Sound quality using AirPods Pro2's was not acceptable meaning more money needed and likely a DJI mic (hint I started thinking I made the wrong manufacturer choice).... 5... controller UI was designed for someone with 20/20 eyesight...6... no range on iPhone controller over. rise it was lest than 30ft, for me valuable in an emergency but there not fit for purpose meaning more money and a funky design ... 7... total inability to remove files off the drone with a Mac (cable direct) .. you have to process the file then downloading onto an iPhone then airdrop which was super painful… with <10 mins of flight, using my AirPods to talk, by the time I processes 1 file and air dropped it I was in low power model on a phone that was fully charged... 8.. Installed an SD card to solve this and it ignored it and used the internal memory..9.. could not find a way of going from manual to preset... 10.. There is rear and front avoidance but no side avoidance... (if you set an orbit it will happily slam into anything)... mine wandered into a tree then got confused and sat there from 85% battery to around 12% without me having any ability to rescue it...11.. I could find no way to lock an object and orbit the object nor could I manually set an orbit height between the presets .. e.g find a tree in manual, raise to the height of the optimal orbit and hit an orbit button (does not work).. 12..image quality on the pro 4k is okay but on a large screen it looks like 2k HD vs 4k from my Sony mirrorless… net/net for me to want to use this I would have to put up with the terrible file transfer, buy a DJI mic, return this unit and buy the 8k to hope it is higher quality, buy a controller and beacon set .. and all of this would put me over the price of a DJI Mini pro with controller or a flip with a controller with built in screen... Basically its cool, I wanted to love it but it was death by a thousand cuts for me so I am eager to see the gen2 and hopefully by then there will be a drone that is slightly larger, better in wind, a drone controller, easier file extraction and ability to save adjustments to a mode !... tread carefully, its great but its in the hype cycle

Also ich bin sehr zufrieden, die Bilder der Kamera sind sehr gut. Das gleiche gilt für die Bedienung. Zu kritisieren habe ich das man die Batterie nur mit der Drohne aufladen kann. Die Betriebsdauer der Akkus ist auch nicht besonders, aber das ist auch verständlich. Ansonsten sind die Pluspunkte die geringe Größe und die gute Bildqualität.

Amazing drone ease of use and great updates too that always improves the device…and I can’t wait to use for my MTB & Road cycling adventure. Worth every $$$$ you will enjoy it highly recommendable gear for your content and social media creation!

Great little drone that I use for cycling. If only the battery was better (4 stars). The software works well to download clips. Clips are extremely good quality!

PROS: absoluta facilidad de manejo en modo automático; nutrido repertorio de vuelos programados; portabilidad extrema; mínimo peso; concebido para uso "selfie" CONTRAS: calidad de video en 4k buena, pero no excelente; dificultad para usar los modos automáticos sin referencia visual del operador (ejemplo: no es fácil que haga una espiral si se quiere que el punto de arranque sea un objeto, no un rostro); duración de la batería insuficiente; modo manual correcto pero muy limitado en alcance usando sólo el móvil como mando (unos 20 metros, según modelo de móvil); precio poco competitivo CONCLUSIÓN: imbatible como dron tipo "lo llevo siempre a mano". Muy útil para disponer de tomas aéreas en cualquier sitio rápidamente. Imprescindible para los entusiastas del selfie.
