Best BBQ I've Owned.
I bought the XL Smoker BBQ so I would be ready for the summer. It arrived yesterday and I put it together today. Firstly I would like to say that once its been put together this is a very impressive piece of kit. It has all the attachments you could wish for, a very good sized cooking area, a very sturdy build and a nice looking BBQ. It does take a few hours to put together, but once built you will not be disappointed.

All good so far - cooks well. Impressed
Assembly took me about 90mins but wasn't exactly rushing. Instructions are reasonable clear. Previous reviews mentioned getting the sides of the firebox the wrong way round but mine were the only numbered parts so maybe the manufacturer has solved that issue. Couple issues on building - when installing the coal grate notice the small part that comes attached to the coal grate raising handle. This needs to be taken off the handle and installed with the grate. Second, when installing the side tables you may need to loosen the firebox mounting screws that you have previously tightened. This will ease the lining up of the side table screw holes. Mine were initially misaligned and I stripped a thread trying to force the screw in. Have used it once so far and compared to previous weber kettle BBQ I was using the difference is huge. Coal was hotter for longer, raising the coal grate makes regulating the temp easy. I just opened all the vents and it was fine. Food cooked well and tested great. Warming rack works well. With lid down for a bit the temp inside was up at about 180C. For smoking it may need some stove rope around the top of the firebox as a fair bit of smoke and probably heat was escaping here as the lid doesn't seal very well. Cleaning down was OK, the cooking grills needed a bit of soaking but then came up as new, brushing the ash through the holes in the grate and then removing with the tray is easy enough. Overall after considering many models I think it was a good choice and worth the money.

CosmoGrill Outdoor XL Smoker Barbecue Charcoal Portable BBQ Grill - Review
I recently purchased the CosmoGrill Outdoor XL Smoker Barbecue Charcoal Portable BBQ Grill, and overall, I am really impressed with the product. To start, there was a minor issue during assembly where one of the pieces arrived slightly bent. However, I was able to reshape it without much trouble, so it didn’t affect the overall experience. Once everything was put together, the grill looked great, was sturdy, and felt very well-constructed. The design is solid, and you can tell that the materials used are durable and built to last. I’ve noticed that some other reviews are very critical of the product, and I do think many of them are a bit unfair. Some complaints were centered around faulty items or people who seemed to struggle with assembly - while those issues are unfortunate, they don’t reflect the quality of the product as a whole. It’s important to give the product a fair shot, follow the instructions carefully, and not jump to conclusions just because of a small issue. A particular point of contention in some of the negative reviews was about the patina that develops on the grill after use. Honestly, this didn’t surprise me at all - it's a metal structure, and when you’re heating it up for grilling, it’s inevitable that it will lose its shiny, new look over time. This is a normal part of the grilling experience and doesn’t affect the functionality at all. I’m planning to use the grill this weekend, and I will update my review after I’ve had a chance to really put it to the test. But so far, I’m excited about the purchase and feel confident in its quality. If you’re on the fence, I wouldn’t let the negative reviews dissuade you. It’s a great product once assembled correctly, and the patina issue isn’t a dealbreaker for me. Looking forward to many successful cookouts!

Great BBQ
Great BBQ, purchased for our son and he is very pleased with it. Didn’t take him as long to assemble as some of the reviews report. Customer service is excellent. First use has proved successful, and he is very happy with this BBQ.

Highly recommended!!
This product offer great value for money. It wasn t the easiest to put together but after about two hours I had a well constructed, solid bbq. I did experience an issue with building it and needed a part replacing and I have to really commend the customer service I received. Within 48hours of raising an issue I had the parts needed and they fitted perfectly. The size of the bbq is perfect for a family of four with a great sized warming rack too. I’m yet to cook on the bbq as the weather has been pants but that’s my fault for buying and building a bbq. A* 10/10 a very satisfied customer.

Great braai! RSA approved
This is the braai I’ve always wanted and super happy that I got it. Does exactly what you need. When running the first fire, keep the fire plate quite high up otherwise the bottom will warp. Super chuffed!

Super BBQ but an intelligence test
What a smart and sturdy addition to our garden! Vastly superior to any BBQ we have had ever before. The anodised surface of the shelves and cooking racks, immensely easy to clean with those absorbent cloths that you use just with water. Although the first time we have used it, has made me realise that the upper rack being chrome/stainless steel, and permanently fixed, creates a cleaning problem after we put the cooked food directly onto it. So a rectangular tray or plate to fit that shelf I think would be an accessory I would be happy to purchase. We wil be lining it with aluminium foil in future till we find a suitable tray or dish. But the selling point for me when I ordered was the fact that the cooking racks are in two pieces that fit in the dishwasher (at the back of the lower level - where roasting pans can go). Assembly took about three hours. Why? Because the diagrams are not exactly self-explanatory and only two pieces actually had litle sticky numbers on, which would have been really helpful. Could do with an assembly vid on youtube. All there is presently, as far as I can see, is a tour of the finished product and some shop in Munich. The tricky bit was doing the charcoal tray that lifts up and down, because it takes time - a lot of time - to work out which of the small black thingingmajigs you use. Having gone through the agony, I would recommend putting together the wheeled lower frame and outer shelves first, which is easy, so you have fewer smaller black bits to choose from when you get to that testing moment; in other words process of elimination. Still gave it five stars, because this is a quality product. Another thing that only dawned on me half way through, was that the cardboard packet of plastic blisters containing the 53 'E1' screws etc. could have been opened from the back, for the card was helpfully printed both front and back with the numbers and details. Duh! But there I was dutifully cutting open the tiny blisters with kitchen scissors. Using a small tray to keep the tiny bits from rolling away is a must. Ours, a nicked Stella Artois tray from someone's student days, was just the right size. Experienced DIYers know all this of course... but what about the rest of us? For the sake of your sanity, make this a two person job. One with the strength and muscle and spatial ability to work out the damned diagrams, the other the dispenser of the screws and calming voice. Not sure our shelves are put on right as they don't seem to want to fold down, and that will be essential to put the cover on... will probably contact the support team if we can't work it out. But all in all we are delighted.
