Amazing underwear, but avoid my mistakes
If you’re reading this, you’re probably scrolling through reviews to see if this underwear is worth trying. The short answer is yes. Absolutely. But there are a couple of things to look out for. Hopefully, this review will save you some time and money as you find the perfect fit and style. Because once you do, you won’t want to wear anything else. The A-D sizing concept can be confusing for men, because we’ve always just bought underwear based on our waist size. Underwear makers never seemed to recognize or care that men have equipment between their legs. Even the recent move towards pouch underwear was largely disappointing. Most I’ve tried didn’t have an actual pouch, just flaps on each side or a “hammock” that was supposed to cradle my boys. None truly worked and I’d still end up smashed. I bought the V-fly boxer briefs. This is the first underwear I’ve ever put on that had an actual, full, functional pouch. It completely surrounds, supports, and slightly lifts your junk. But for that effect you’ve got to get the pouch size right. Real Men Apparel recommends cupping your junk in your hand (the full bait and tackle), and then looking to see what size ball would fit in the space. Billiard ball = A, tennis ball = B, Pickle ball = C, softball = D. I play pool occasionally so I know how big an 8 ball is. I throw a tennis ball when playing with my dog, so I know that size. But I haven’t held a pickleball or a softball since way back in high school. I’d lost perspective on how big each actually is. My advice, head to a sporting goods store and pick up some examples to familiarize yourself before doing the test. When I pulled my hand away it was obviously bigger than a billiard ball or a tennis ball but I wasn’t sure about the other two. I guessed a C. But several reviews said to ignore your ego and size down one for a snug, supportive fit. I bought a pack of Bs. They stretched, so I could fit mostly inside. But it was too tight and I noticed the weight of my junk pulled the pouch down, which pulled the fly wide open. Not a good look and I’m not trying to offer any peep shows in the locker room. I got a pack of Cs. They fit much better and I thought I was good. But after a few days of wear I noticed it didn’t feel quite right and my package never seemed to be fully inside the pouch. The bottom seam of the pouch entrance, which should sit behind your balls, was running along the underside of my sack. I stopped by a sporting goods store and was surprised that I overestimated how big a pickleball is. Turns out I was actually more of a softball size. I tried a pack of Ds and the fit is perfect. Still snug and supportive but not too tight. And my full package is now contained in the pouch. Now that I have the right fit, it really feels like I’m not wearing anything. It’s nice to go through the day and not think about your junk because it’s constantly uncomfortable. But I am stuck with a set of Bs and Cs I paid for that don’t fit. That’s my only criticism of the brand. It would be helpful to offer sample packs so you can determine your fit before committing. They don’t even have to give a full A-D set. Just let someone check between an A-B, B-C, C-D. It might have saved me some trial and error and money. As far as waist size, it’s pretty accurate. For reference, I’m 5’10” and 175 pounds with a 31/32” waist. The modal, which has some give, fits me in a small. The nylon, which has less stretch, fits me in a medium. The other thing you should be aware of, is that there is a big difference in presentation between the boxer brief offerings. The V-fly boxer briefs, while definitely package enhancing, still have more of a natural roundness and hang to them. The flyless boxer briefs look quite different. They dramatically lift and point everything straight forward. I was surprised when I first pulled them on. My junk was formed into sort of a cone that stuck straight out from my body. It looked like I was smuggling a rocket in my underwear. They were crazy comfortable. It felt like my boys were floating. But it’s just not something I’m comfortable wearing. It’s not a criticism. Plenty of guys probably buy and appreciate these. They’re just not my thing and I want to make other guys aware who may feel the same. You really don’t get the impression of their true look from the product photos. Don’t get me wrong, despite my experience with sizing and the flyless style, I can honestly say that the Real Men V-fly boxer briefs are the most comfortable, supportive, well-designed underwear I’ve ever worn. All you do is pull them up and your entire package slides into and fills the pouch. You don’t have to take a moment to adjust any flaps or hammocks around or under yourself. And the horizontal fly is perfect. It’s easy to get the hog out and put it back in a flash. This is the underwear men have always deserved but never got. And my wife loves the way they look on me. Really loves. Major bonus. They aren’t cheap, but they’re still much more affordable than some other premium brands charging $80-$90 bucks for a 3 pack. Thank you, Real Men, for making daily life more comfortable for us guys. Please continue making these for years to come because they’re all I want to wear from now on. Now that I finally have my right size, I’m already working to replace my old underwear with these.

Good design, comfortable
Good fit. Good design so you don’t expose crack every time you bend. Seems durable. If. Others see you in them, it’s not as pervy as some but it definitely puts your package out where it naturally is and can show some shaft or mushroom since it’s a breathable nylon type stretchy material. Smaller pouches are better for fit unless you have grapefruits to pouch up or you are 6” flacid. The A size is good for a keep things in place fit and B is a bit free feeling which is nice. If you don’t have grapefruits then you will have a large empty pouch letting things move around and looking like you got nothing in there, there is enough stretch you shouldn’t have to worry about getting excited any more than regular underwear except if your excited and not in your pants then it’s a pervy look showing the shape of everything. The pouch is placed well to hold everything and keep your legs from touching anything. This shorter brief lets you keep them up so the pouch can be up keeping things apart where the longer ones and lots of other brands don’t keep things in the pouch properly or dont separate as well.

Read This Review -- Size Yourself for What You're After
I'm 5'10", 170 pounds, and wear a 32" waist. I'm larger than average down there -- frank and beans -- so I ordered the C pouch and the correct size for my waist. I own and wear more than 2 dozen different pouch underwear labels -- you can read my reviews on a few of them by clicking on my name. Anyway, here's my honest review of these by Real Men: PROS: *Very soft material; feels like you have nothing on at all. *Excellent vertical pouch; the only way to go! *Everything stays in place; no worries about the boys making any kind of unexpected escape. *Super stretchy material for those special or surprising times. *No seam right down the center of the pouch -- BIG win, because you don't end up with something like a railroad track imprinted on your member's forehead (depending, I guess, on whether you're cut or not and how you put the boss in the pouch while he's at rest). CONS: *If you want to feel snug, buy a size lower. These fit me fine, but when I first put them on, I look again to be sure they had sent me the correct size. They just feel bigger than other brands. *Pouch size is questionable. Having worn them, it feels a little gimmicky. I mean, like I said, I'm not a small guy down there by any means so I went with a C, and it certainly holds everything, but there's plenty of room to spare. (I wish I could try out a B and give a review on that.) So, unless you're just enormous or carrying enough extra weight that you need extra room, beware of which pouch you buy. My guess is that, if you buy the right size for your anatomy -- which may mean sacrificing some pride and buying a pouch size DOWN -- you're going to feel snug, get a good lift, and experience the "bulge enhancing" part that is in the name of this underwear. Check out my pics. You'll see I put three different sized things in the pouch. If you've got a red onion you're hauling around everyday -- you know, when you cup everything in one hand -- the C pouch will treat you well and enhance your bulge beautifully. Being something like a red onion, myself, I find that there's a bit of a bulge when I have these undies on, but not as "impressive" as some other underwear I own. So again, choose your pouch size wisely, depending on what effect you're after. Hope this is helpful!

Fit feel and enjoyable every day.
I have a 31" waist and bought the Large with a D pouch size. It fits perfectly, though I might even try one size up. I like my underwear not too snug—a bit loose is fine. The fabric is soft and slips on like a glove. Sleeping in them is the best; they’re the only thing I wear to bed, keeping me cool, dry, and comfortable. Under pants, they work perfectly to keep everything hanging naturally between my legs rather than up front or compressed, giving them more of a boxer-like feel. So note... Waist Size up for easy fit. The in front pulldown works the best I ever had. I use it.

Waistband needs work
Two things I do not like are the waistband and the flap covering the pouch. Both lack strength. I'm an average sized guy and I have to constantly pull them up. The elastic needs to be stronger in the waistband and the opening to the pouch seems to loose. Other than that the fabric is nice and soft. The way they conform to the buttocks is nice and the length is nice. Do like how they keep my package cooler and more comfortable.
