A beautiful little tea pot - for just one person
This is a beautiful little teapot. Since I gave up using tea bags and moved back to loose leaf tea, I've been looking for an alternative to my large filter tea pot. So, when I saw this I thought I'd give it a try. I'm delighted with it. The design and build quality of this pot are both excellent. When it arrived, I thought it was too small. However, when I started to use it, it proved to be just the right size for one person. It makes one large mug or two small cups of tea. The stainless steel filter is nicely made. If you're looking for a perfect teapot for just one, then I would highly recommend this London Pottery product.

Fantastic product for the price
First things first - if you're expecting the finest teapot with the world's best finish and materials then you might want to look elsewhere. This is a mass produced teapot that does everything it should do perfectly. Overview: It is extremely large (I bought the 6 cup version) and has a metal tea leaf strainer (not sure if that's the correct word for it when it resides in the teapot). Pros: The spout is excellent: you really have to try hard to get it to dribble down the side of the pot. The metal strainer reaches to the bottom of the pot so that if you only want a small quantity then that's fine. The holes on the strainer are fine, meaning that if your tea leaves and very small and granular (like the Twinings ones in particular I find) then you still don't get any particulate matter in the tea. It is solidly made and will last a very long time if you wash it well. It seems to be more than capable of keeping tea hot for a long time (I do always make sure to preheat it first with boiling water). Cons: The finish on the inside is not perfect but that is to be expect at this price. What I mean by this is that there a few lumps and bumps on the inner surface, but those won't be visible to anyone. If you're perhaps quite dainty and planning on using this to fill up to the brim then please take care as it will be heavy. This is not a con of the product as such, just a consequence of the laws of physics. If you're considering a large teapot and don't want to spend a fortune, go for this. You will not regret it.

Terrific Vintage Tea-pots
The pots are of fantastic quality, and we use them in our heavy-duty Tea Room. I only had to ask for an extra 2-3 filters ( bought 8 tea-pots for our tearoom) which were happily offered to us free of charge. I highly appreciated that. The tea pots are cute, practical and very efficient. Their vintage look reminds us all of our grandmothers, and my customers have been using them relentlessly. So happy to have them.

Great pot
Bought the 6 cup pot, glad I did. If we fill to the brim, we get four mugs, which is what I wanted. It’s a pottery pot, so nothing elegant, but I am pleased with the classic look and quality. The chrome infuser sits inside the pot, clipping into the opening with a little lever. It is smart, easy to remove, makes a good brew. I wouldn’t use the pot without the infuser in place, as that leaves the lid loose and might fall out when pouring. It pours well, only dribbles if you tip too far forwards. It is a bit heavy when full, but not unmanageable

Beautiful and cleverly designed teapot in every way - except the handle could be bigger.
This is a truly beautiful teapot - with a gorgeous glossy teal colour glaze, and the generous spout pours like a dream. The clever clip-in integral but easily removable tea-leaf container is a boon for real tea lovers, making it easy to unclip, take out and clean, and therefore also to compost the tea leaves afterwards. The lid has a clever design which makes it impossible for it to fall off while pouring, so no holding the kid’s knob needed just in case. The only downside to the design is that the handle is a little bit small for a 4-mug teapot which does get heavy when full, and which therefore needs a handle you can get your whole hand through, whereas this one only just allows three average-sized fingers with a thumb opposing on top for balance, introducing the risk of slippage (especially as it’s so shiny too). You get used to it, but given the superb overall design, this is just a little frustrating as you have to be careful to really grip it every time so as not to drop it. Even so, I wouldn’t swap it for anything as the shape of the pot and spout is so plump and lovable! It’s a 9/10 for the London Pottery Company from me.

Best teapot I ever bought
I just got this (have used it once) so can't address longevity, durability, etc. I have to say I love it. I didn't realise how much I'd got used to the comparatively timid/tainted taste of a teabag cup and am really enjoying loose leaf tea again. Will still use teabags when not at home but the taste, even of the best bags, really is a pale imitation. The pot itself is aesthetically pleasing. The colour does thin at the edges around the lid opening, handle, and spout but not in a way that looks even slightly shabby and the appearance of the pot is top notch. The look and feel are both somehow just satisfying. The 1.5L capacity gives 3 large mugsful per pot which is perfect for me. The infuser insert could be a tighter fit imo and moves around just a tad loosely but this is a very minor quibble. The infuser does a great job of infusing and produces splendidly tidy tea with zero mess. I had to look closely to notice that the indentation on the interior of the lid fits around the infuser to hold the two together snugly, thus keeping the lid in place. A great upgrade on my previous, now unfortunately (?) broken, infuserless pot in terms of quality and quantity. Am delighted with this!

Like the infuser but can’t get a hpt brew
Purchased to replace a London Teapot that I accidentally broke and a pot I loved. The in-built infuser works well and has encouraged me to go back to tealeaves. I’d forgotten how much better leaf tea is. But it is difficult to get a hot brew with this pot. It is possible but one has to 3/4 fill it with boiling water and let the pot stand for 2-3 minutes, boil the kettle again and make tea in the usual way to achieve a hot cuppa. I do like the infuser which works well, is less hassle than a tea strainer and cleans easily. The infuser also clips the lid in place so no risk of it falling out when pouring. The spout is quite thick and pouring is restricted to 6-7mm diameter flow which is o.k., but slow. It is necessary to hold the spout over the pot when pouring as it drips. Would I buy again, a definite ‘no’ because I have ordered a different make and will decide whether this one goes to landfill or to store as a spare.
