Scotch Magic Tape Dispenser, Record Player (C45-RECORD)

This is great! Not too flimsy, it's nice and heavy with large rubber tread, works just as well as most other tape dispensers. The disk charmingly rotates with the tape roll. It pops off easily for reloading, but I would only pull up from the tape roll itself, it seems like the record could easily break otherwise. Perhaps not, but I wouldn't try it. The lid is typical plastic, like a cd case. It looks like it could scratch easily, and the hinges look a bit fragile. Just a warning, tho, it's not really a kids toy. Perfect to add some style to the office. It will live next to my tube-driven headphones amp in perfect harmony.

PROS - Aesthetically Pleasing - Heavier Weight - Protects Tape from Dust CONS - None! When I pull the tape, it spins the record. What a nice effect for something so insignificant, something that should be as exciting as watching the paint dry. But now, out of the normal everyday, i can’t help but find reasons to need tape just to pull on it. It really brings a little small kiddish joy or amusement when you see that record spin. Stupid I know, but same reason why French fries erasers are popular these days! Functionality isn’t sacrificed from the aesthetics. The weight of this thing is your best friend, the body of the tape dispenser doesn’t move when you pull any length of tape, so you get to enjoy this effect without worrying it flinging everywhere. I love how the transparent cap allows you to close the tape department after you’re done using it so in case you don’t use it for long periods of time the revealed tape gap is protected from any free flying dust from sticking with your tape. Overall, as a someone who loves art and functionality, I can vouch for this small product as a good buy.

I absolutely love this tape dispenser. I see it every day at my work desk. It's super sturdy and I love it doesn't collect dust because the top comes down to cover it. I never realized how useful it is to get tape with just one hand, since the cheapie dispensers require both hands - one to hold, one to get the tape off. The only bad thing? It's now making me want to buy a real record player... ;-)

Second purchase! Bought one for downstairs to keep in kitchen & to use when wrapping gifts. Bought second one for upstairs office. VERY easy to load & use. Stable unlike the old fashioned tape dispensers which cause the tape to pop out while you're using it! SO frustrating. NOT an issue with this record player tape dispenser! Comes with roll of tape too! My only quibble is that the packaging is rather hard to remove from the dispenser. Otherwise, it is a very good product!

Looks great, super functional, and it has a nice weight to it so you can tear your strip and the base doesn't move with you.

I’ve had mine for 5 years and accidentally broke it!!!!! Wanted to buy again, cause it’s my favorite tape dispenser & it’s unavailable!! I’m so sad. It’s not that broke, so I’ll keep using it until I another one. I just broke the lid I’m giving it a 4 because I can’t purchase another, it’s unavailable. Otherwise I would have given it a 5 star It’s easy to use for a stand alone, very functional , it’s fun, no problem cutting tape, & priced right, but I can’t find another one , I’m so disappointed

I seriously love this tape dispenser! It is so cute and serves its purpose. I love how the bottom is weighed down so you can use it with one hand. I work from home since covid and have decided to decorate my workstation differently since I no longer have to worry about someone helping themselves to my cute things! The only complaint is that the plastic cover had a few minor scratches on it. It also does come with a small roll of tape, as well. I recommend this product!

This is well made and fun to use. The disc turns around when you pull the tape out as if a record is playing. It is larger and heavier than I expected. I ordered it to use as a travel dispenser, but it is too large and heavy for that. It is meant to sit in a desk or table. I keep it at home, and I'd like to suggest a travel version! I would buy that, too.

This sure is gimmicky, but it works. Reminisce the warm analog sounds of good old wax as it dispenses tape perfectly, as it should. Recommended!

Very cute tape dispenser and functional too! It was not too hard to replace the tape roll. Tape tears away easily. Lid closes down when not in use to keep tape clean and free from dust. There are pads at the bottom of the dispenser to help secure it on surfaces but is not so sticky that you can't move it when necessary and does not leave a mark on the surface. This really would make a nice gift!

De excelente calidad, muy bonitos acabados, es pesado en su base para soportar el uso al momento de cortar la cinta. La sierra para cortar es afilada, viene con una cinta de muestra. Se ve muy lindo en el escritorio. Lo volvería a comprar.

A must have for anyone that loves music. Works well. Very sturdy and has some good weight to it.

Very cute design and sturdy but the clear lid was scuffed even though it was sealed. The box was not in a good state.
