Great design
Solid with just the right amount of flexibility. Highly recommend!

Worked brilliantly
After reading another review about it being used through a scupper hole, that's exactly what I intended to do. And it worked brilliantly. Yes the foam tears easily, in fact I took it all the way off just because. Helped me stay put in that shallow water, which kayaks move with the slightest breeze.

LOVE IT!
So glad I finally got the YakStick! I had been using a 3.5lb. anchor that worked okay, but this has been so much easier for me. I put it through the scupper hole in the front of my kayak and I stay put. I like the fact that I don't move around like my old anchor, & I can pull up to where I want and stake my kayak quietly without spooking any fish. Wasn't sure if it was gonna be tall enough but it is perfect for inshore fishing. I have a Bimini top for my yak and if I went with the taller stake I think it might get more in the way so I am glad I went with the 6 ft. option.

pricy for what it is.... but it works great
This thing is perfect for fishing the flats in the sounds of the Outer Banks of NC! Don't overthink it, just buy it. A bit spendy, but it was worth it because it works.

A must have for kayak fisherman
Itโs strong, I can use it to pole my kayak on flats nice and stealthy, I really like the simplicity in anchoring up in a jiff, I drop this in whichever scupper hole I want my kayak to face while I fish, I use it to park and get out, and use it when a fish is dragging me into structure to quickly lock into a spot. It holds strong, I can pound it thru oyster beds if need be. Cons: the foam handle slides once wet, the spiked end is just bare so an aluminum cap or something protective would of been nice to keep it from being chewed up. I purchased the 6โ version, it has so far worked great but an 8-9โ would be better. Either way, it sure beats an anchor and rope.

Not sturdy enough for sand!!
We couldn't wait to use our Yak-Sticks. We didn't get to use them last year because the water level was low. After only the second use this year, one broke. The very next weekend the other stick broke. We put in at a sand bar with no wake.

Great purchase for kayak fishing
Works great keeps my kayak right where i want it and it even clips to my anchor trolley. (Clips not included). I hardly ever use my 5lb anchor any more. I stay in water about 2-4 ft most of the time. Its 6ft long so i can really drive it into the mud or sand or whatever. Plus it floats so you wont lose it if it comes untied.

Great anchor pin
We use these with our big Jon boat to anchor close to shore. They are light weight and float if it gets away from you.
