Heissner TZ123-00 40 x 40cm Octagonal Floating Plant Island

This product is complete genius. My pond (round, and about 15 feet across and 4ft deep) is a bit of a rough and ready job made using a digger and pond liner. Although it was made with marginal shelves, these haven't kept their shape well, and it's a windy site, so the marginals kept blowing off the shelves and descending to the bottom of the pond. My marginals are now planted in these floating "islands", which can be secured to each other or to the edge of the pond if you wish. They are sturdy, stable and inoffensive in appearance even when your plants haven't yet grown enough to hide them. My pond is transformed and I'm very happy. Visitors to my garden keep commenting that it's a great idea they haven't seen before.

The seller should put in he size had to send it back it was so big, much too big for my 5ft Mum

Looks good. Bought two, so not expensive. We bought the larger size (35cms) seems quite stable at the moment, it was a marsh marigold, so took off the really long leaves to make it less top heavy. Don't know how well a really tall plant would fare, like an iris, may topple over. But concept is brilliant. Am on the look out for low growing oxygenater to fill the other one.

Placed in pond in January 2019,the bags rotted away around the perimeter by October. Plants sunk,fish ok,so water ok. Very disappointing..
