Signature Housewares Sorrento Collection Canisters, Ruby Antiqued Finish, Set of 3

Quality of canisters is really good, but they are a little small. And it would be nice if there were four of them. They are really beautiful and really do look very nice on my counter. They seem to be really chip resistant as I have banged them together some accidently! The color is very a deep burgundy red which I absolutely love and is just what I wanted. The seal on the middle canister doesn't fit as well as the other ones do, don't know what is up with that, but if you angle it as you close it instead of just pushing straight down, it will close and seal pretty good.

I bought this canister set along with a 5-oz spice jar in the same color, and they complement each other very well. The color is even better than you see on the site - check out the photos I added to see the set in "oregano." Each lid has a rubber/silicone seal that works quite well. The lids fit snugly, but are not difficult to remove. I felt confident that things such as dried fruit or soft cat treats would not dry out in these canisters, and that has proven to be true. I did see a previous review that said they were "not airtight," but I found that one of my seals had to be adjusted slightly as if it had moved in the packaging. If you just examine how the seals fit on the bottoms of the lids, and push them up so they are turned "up" flush against the lid, you'll be just fine. (They do not slip down again once you do this.) I am thrilled with this purchase and would even give them as gifts!

These are great decorative canisters. If you are a matchy-matchy, traditional decor person like yours truly, this set will probably appeal to you in a big way, because you can coordinate them with the dip chiller, spoon rest, tool jar, plates, cups, servers, etc. As other reviewers have noted, there are a few things to take into consideration before you drop the $$.$$ to buy this set: --> Is the seal impenetrable? Nope. The seal is a removable rubber gasket approximately 1/2" thick that slides onto the inner rim of the canister. Since I have coffee, sugar, and dog treats in my canisters and I live in the South (aka bug heaven), contents of these canisters will ALWAYS be sealed in Ziploc bags. If you need a great seal, buy yourself some Lock N Lock containers and just store them in the cupboard. --> Are there some minor issues in the glazing/manufacturing? Sure. There is a pinhead sized spot on my big canister that is missing color and glaze entirely. There is a rough spot near the bottom of the small canister that I need to file down because it has already snagged on my clothing a couple times. Regardless, I would buy these canisters again and recommend them to others. These trivial imperfections fit perfectly in my imperfect kitchen. --> Are the canisters small? Depends. They are great for our needs because I don't use flour anymore, and most of the sugar we use goes into my husband's morning coffee. I can easily fit 3 10-oz bags of ground Starbucks coffee in the big container, about 5-6 cups of sugar in the medium container and one bag of New Balance Limited Ingredient dog greats in the small container. However, if you plan to store 10 pounds of flour in the big canister and 5 pounds of sugar in the medium canister because you bake your own bread every day, you will be sorely disappointed in this set. I looked all over town for a set like this and didn't see anything I liked quite as much. It took about 4 months for me to finally purchase the set, and I'm very glad I did.

My husband and I recently did some upgrades in our kitchen and I decided to purchase these and get rid of my hideous white canisters to give our kitchen a little pop of color. I love the color that I choose (Ruby) and it happened to match our wall choice almost perfectly. The canisters are very cute and well made. The seal I am not so sure about but for now I am happy with it. My only issue is that these canisters run small. The largest canister will not hold a full 5lb bag of flour and/or sugar and I have googled to see if I can purchase additional canisters without purchasing another set and unable to locate. I have also tried to look for a larger canister and was unsuccessful. Would love if the company come up with a larger canister as I could use a few of them.

These are great! I made the mistake of washing my old sugar container (ceramic), well even days later it still wouldn't dry out. Every time I thought it was dried out completely, I would put the sugar back in, then within hours, all the sugar was wet again. So I started looking for a replacement. These were perfect! They actually got a great score on Fakespot.com, which is no easy task. So I trusted the reviews and the products. They seal very well, and the sizes are great for a variety of things. I use the middle one for my sugar. I haven't found a use for the other 2 yet, but I'm sure I will. They have a nice weight and feel very sturdy.

I've used these canisters for 6 months now and I am very satisfied with them. They are perfect for a small kitchen and a small family. While, the seals are tight at first, they do loosen up with time. In the beginning I needed to use both hands to close them tightly. Now I can do it with one hand, which is good when one is in the middle of cooking. I keep single tea bags in the smallest one, family size tea bags in the middle size one, and sugar in the largest one. While this might not be satisfactory for everyone, it works great for me. Everything stays nice and fresh, and I love the beautiful, rich color as well as the fact that each canister is different. I would recommend this set if you are looking for attractive, small capacity canisters.

I am somewhat happy with these canisters. Color was perfect for my kitchen. They arent as large as my previous canister set but still that isnt a problem for me. What I am not too pleased with is the way the lids fit or I should say the way they are made. I bought two sets to serve my needs and every lid had an issue. Some have small to med pits in them and the biggest complaint is that two or three of the lids are perfectly round,more egg shaped so they dont fit perfectly on the base. Also to of the lid handles seem to be somewhat leaning. If I knew how to contact Signature products I might see about having the two or three lids replaced.

The canisters are just lovely....a perfect shade of red for me. If you want candy apple red or fire engine red, these are not for you. The lids do give an airtight fit and will undoubtedly keep things fresh. My only complaint is that they are a bit smaller than I had hoped for and don't fit a lot in them. I keep coffee in the largest one and I did fit a 2 lb bag of brown sugar in the middle sized one, but there really needed to be one extra large one in the set. They are so pretty on my counter top with my white subway tile backsplash, that I could never send them back!!! Of course, every single thing I have ever ordered through Amazon (and there have been a lot) ALWAYS come packaged great and get shipped very quickly.

These match my new Red kitchen color and I just absolutely adore them. I would recommend them to the fullest...
