Im baffled as to why this isn't rated higher. User error? Its great for weak dogs recovering from parasite infection or surgery/Injury. Underweight dogs etc. My Yorkie lost a ton of weight from oral surgery followed by a parasite infection. She lost interest in food from both also. This product gave her energy and nutrients she needed in order to start healing and regain her appetite. Just click out a tiny piece at a time on your finger and give it to them that way. Its thick dense syrup, so its too difficult to try and push into their mouth, the whole amount you need to give your particular dog based on their weight. You will end up with a mess. You can also refrigerate it to make it more dense and less glue like so you can dispense small sections on your finger equivalent to the size of a training treat. It won't hurt them if you give them a little more than necessary. Combine it with the under the weather pet pro and pre biotic paste. I've been using that one for years. It fixes my dogs fast when they get a bout of loose stools or they throw up. I got the idea to look for this product because I spent years rehabing abandoned newborn mamnals on the brink of death. We would give them caro syrup to keep them from dying until we could get their weight and nutrition back up with formula. This product has the added benefit of nutrients and healthy fats they would not get from just caro syrup. They should have given this dispenser a dose turn dial so you could more easily dispense the correct dose. However, it would probably cost $10 more if they did. You can easily track where you need to stop with the lines on the plunger, even just dispensing it one small piece at a time to decrease mess or waste risk.

I was praying for a miracle because my cat has some complex medical conditions (IBD, acid reflux and that triggers Pancreatitis if not treated in time). During her flare ups she is unable to keep food down (within minutes she will vomit anything she has eaten/drank) and that can lead to a lot of other side effects such as gastric upset/bleeding, tiredness, and dehydration. In the past she has had to go to the vet and each visit is a minimum of $2500 by the time all things are said and done. Obviously nothing can replace a vet visit when it is urgent but if you can get ahead of the problem before it gets to that I am on board because who wants to have their animal in a cage with tubes and needles while they are figuring things out. I know some people have complained about the smell or consistency but it is really not that horrible. I have smelled cat food far worse than this product. It has a consistency like a slightly thicker toothpaste just not quite as dense and the smell is almost like a smoky fruity combination. It was easy to use, just remove the little foil seal and squeeze the product out. I was able to put a small amount on my finger (pea size to start) and just put it on my cat’s upper lip. After that she licked it off my finger. I say do whatever works for your particular cat ti get them to take it. After her first 1/2 dose of the product and after having nothing stay down before that, I am so happy to report she has kept this down! It is the first thing she has been able to keep down! As far as I am concerned this could truly be a little miracle in a tube! My plan is to give her this over the next few days as her source of nutrition (as long as she is improving) and then VERY slowly reintroduce her food. I will still give her the gel paste in smaller amounts to supplement her until she is fully back to her normal eating. She has had zero side effects, seems to like the taste. Yes it is pricey but if it works to help your pet and also saves you a very costly vet visit it is way worth it! So thankful for this product.

This stuff is great! No issues with either my fussy cat or my fussy dog! They loved it. Only used to supplement missed or incomplete meals for short periods.

Great product, helps get calories in sick kittens or cats. They seem to like the flavor as well. A staple for every home

My baby girl was not feeling well at all. She was not eating well, not herself at all. She is a three year old pocket bully who has never given me an inch of finicky other than not particularly fond of green beans. After three days I was making a vet appointment the next morning. Searching on Amazon for something the night before when I saw this. It thankfully came the next day and it worked. I put a little on top of her regularly scheduled meal and thank goodness it worked. She ate the whole bowl. I have continued to give it to her with one of her two meals a day and she always eats every last bit of food when this is on top. She is still a bit finicky with her second meal of the day. We have yet to figure out what caused the stomach upset or why she was not interested in food but we think it was from eating something in the backyard (leaf, berry????) it's spring here and windy so we have had a lot of fresh spring growth blowing around our property. I will keep this on hand for a while as I feel it is beneficial. We have three babies so at any given time any one of them could experience some form of stomach upset. I feel this is a good tool to have at our disposal.
